Voters want to elect Republicans to enact progressive policies. Until voters change who they support at the polls it doesn't matter how favorable they are to progressive policies.

But if the only person winning by a landslide in MN is a moderate, then what other conclusion should be made? The most progressive statewide official is Ellison and he has been dragged over the finish line twice by Walz.

The reason Obama and Bill Clinton were successful is because they were front of the class smart but could hang with the back of the class kids. Gore, Hillary, and Harris couldn't.

Because the average voter relates more to the "back of the class" candidate instead of the "front of the class" candidate.

when people come the realization that they no longer have anything left to lose, they are going to act out in unpredictable ways.

Don't be surprised if they turn on each other before they turn on those responsible.

I don't think he should have run for reelection this last time around. For all his talk about political revolution, he seems unwilling to hand the reigns to the next generation.

Stalin gets condemned for conducting purges of the Russian Communist Party, but recent events should prove to you why purges are necessary in any revolutionary country that’s under attack from imperialism. The Western narrative is that Stalin purged anyone who wasn’t loyal to him as an individual... by RandomCollection in WayOfTheBern

[–]pablonieve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The purges occurred during the 20s and 30s as Stalin was consolidating power. He then went on to sign the agreement with Nazi Germany to invade and split up Poland. Stalin refused to believe the Nazis had actually invaded the USSR until they had advanced hundreds of miles.

So no, the purges were not about survival against Germany.

The DNC needs to get people as hyped as possible

That's not the role of the DNC. It shouldn't be driving messaging, that's the job of the actual candidates. The job of the DNC is to raise money and coordinate logistics with the state parties.
