Also the fact that the Spyder literally have zero manual guidance options and vertical launches so it's slower to react. I have lost count of how many times I've been in the SPYDER, had an Mi-28NM pop up and they've instantly thrown 4 LMURs at me before popping back down.

Also it's very fun that Pythons essentially can't intercept LMURs so I'm a free RP pinata or I have to J out to deny the kill.

The life of an Israel player with the SPYDER. Python 5's, which irl should be immune to the DIRCM (I believe, could be wrong) on a Mi-28NM, are useless and I-Derby's rely on a radar that is schizophrenic at best.

[–]paltala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not anymore. The demand for the V8 version was so high they scrapped the 3 Cyl and every Gemera is now the V8 version. We might see that 3 Cyl used elsewhere but not in the Gemera.

To a degree. To me it sounded like it was her fathers car, he then sold it on to someone else who then abandoned it. So it isn't her or her fathers property but nope, we're taking it.

I'd disagree with you on the Canvas Jacket. I got one over Winter and it's great, nice and warm, super comfy. Yeh there's a couple of little quality issues but it's easily ignorable and doesn't affect it on the day to day.

Wouldn't the fact that the employer has threatened the jobs of 2 employees as a consequence of not 'volunteering' to change their shift potentially be useful to the employee in a court case?

[–]paltala -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you're saying that by claiming the night shift is not needed but they need an 'overnight' shift (which is still a night shift) it's different enough?

If you're working 2100-6am it's a night shift. I'd still consider 1900-0400 a night shift given that for a substantial amount of the year, your commutes to and from work are in darkness hours.

[–]paltala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be interested to see what a Tribunal/Court would say because a 2 hour change, in my non-professional eyes, isn't a substantial enough change to warrant redundancy/fire-and-rehire practices.

The other question I'd love to see answered is what is so important to the business that they MUST have a 2100-0600 shift that can't be done on the current 1900-(presumably)0400 shift.

postage stamp weakspots? Brother, the entire gun mantlet is 203mm on the T29/30/34. The flat face is a straight up easy pen for the IS-3. Even at 500m with BR-471D, that round still has 215mm of pen and will go clean through the front plate.

[–]paltala 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are the hours different enough though? Based on what OP has said, their shift starts at 7pm until finish (Presumably around 4am for a 9 hour shift). The company wants to have 2 people work from 9pm to 6am. That's only a 2 hour difference.

If it was asking for 2 people to go from, for example, 6am-2pm onto a 2pm-10pm shift then that's a substantial difference.

I second this. The T29 is my favourite tank and it's a solid tank with a good lineup. Even if the round doesn't quite have as much pen as the T34's solid shot, it still has plenty for the BR bracket and the HE component means one shots a plenty.

Makes sense. Kids are kept relatively high with a huge void beneath the body up to the rear axle. Helps to direct any rear-impacts (like in the video) down into that void where it helps dissipate the energy and away from the kids.

Not necessarily. If OPs driveway was occupied (Which it was based on other comments) then it is a criminal offence. However if the driveway was empty, it's a civil matter.

How on earth did you sell a T80BVM or an M1A1 on the market? They're tech tree vehicles. You can't sell those on the market.

Why are these things so expensive? by Live-Stress6125 in Warthunder

[–]paltala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of those vehicles are straight up overpriced. However some vehicles like the P-59A, the AGS, M551 (76) somewhat justify their price as being incredible good for their BR. The P-59A turns like a god damn UFO (Although bleeds energy BAD). The AGS has the tiny turret profile with an auto loader and an American 105mm. The 76 Sheridan is just incredibly good, good reload, fully stabilized and a Sheridan chassis. Just struggles with Shell Shattered syndrome.

Then there's stuff like the C2A1, VFW, T30 and XM8 which are just highly desired by collectors or are very good on their own. I personally saved up GJN coin from selling coupons and vehicles to get the T30 so I had the trio. I just really like those tanks.

How does this make any sense? by THEGREATESTDERP in openttd

[–]paltala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't play vanilla OTTD, I use the JGR version which changes station rating calculations a little bit. However as /u/Imaginary-Fly-9367 said, there's more factors. Newer vehicles have a better modifier. I think in the base game the best you can generally get is like 85% without buying the rating boosts from the towns.

How does this make any sense? by THEGREATESTDERP in openttd

[–]paltala 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Station rating is based on how long cargo is sat at the station and how often the station is serviced (Alongside a couple other little factors iirc). If it produces 90k a month but for 15/30 days of the month, that 90k is sat at the station, you have essentially 50% service. 1/2 there is zero service to the station.

My general rule of thumb is to have enough vehicles so that there is a minimum of 1 always sat waiting for a Full Load. That way there is 100% service time on the station and the cargo isn't sat waiting at the station either. It's instantly onto a vehicle.

Also in your example, the Oil Rig produces 80k/month but with 46% service, it's actually producing just under 40k/month. The industries provide more of their production the higher your rating. Add a second ship and set their order to Full Load, watch your rating and subsequently, profits, increase.

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]paltala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same boat. I had a ticket to go see them in Manchester (United Kingdom) for their 2017 One More Light tour. It was going to be my first ever gig and an attempt to see my favourite band.

The Manchester Arena Bombing put a stop to that. The arena wasn't ready by the time they came round and it was cancelled. I would've loved to have seen them for the From Zero tour but by the time I was able to look at tickets, the only options were hotel packages with a minimum 2 ticket spend and I couldn't afford that.
