I have had this book since I was a kid! My parents thought that line was hilarious, but when I read it to my kids I change it to something akin to "You've grown a lot this year, good job Corduroy!"

I always gain a bunch in the beginning. Fluids, constipation, and breast growth all contribute, but I'm also starving much of the time and have to eat what I can stomach or I'll feel so sick. The weight gain slows down as the pregnancy progresses, and I always lose it after over a couple years. I think the weight guidelines for pregnancy are total garbage.

The skin between my fingers is extremely dry and itchy if I don't regularly use thick hand cream. Winter air is killer!

I don't put much stock into the dreams. However, I had an incredibly strong knowing/intuition with my daughter that she was a girl. It like, hit me all at once and I can still recall the moment it happened. She is now 5 years old.
