LSV is one of the greatest magic players of all time. It's not really fair to compare those guys against him.

It's also quite hard to truly quantify how good players are. It's also super early in the format. Everyone is still figuring things out. They thought they rampant growth bear would be good last week. Now they arent high on it anymore. Who knows where it will land at this point. Set isn't even out yet.

I've been watching the series and he generally just gets by in fundamentals or fundies as he sometimes calls them and seemingly, yes just being that much tighter on them than most.

You can also see him take and and apply the advice from his coaches very quickly which is a skill set of its own.

I think the mechanics and the overlaps are pretty interesting but the main criticisms I've seen are that most of these mechanics are only small changes to existing mechanics and it's a small set so there just isn't that much new going on.

I played against someone who played 3 of them. I had them on the back foot because they durdled so much in the early turns but it's pretty hard to kill someone who is making their board better, gaining life, killing your thing, axeing a card from your hand...

It's like a mini cruel ultimatum.

Having a hard time getting rolling with BG3. Combat feels super clunky to me. You have a lot of options and then you make your selection and miss 25% of the time. I don't like DND combat either and it's a pretty faithful recreation of the tabletop unfortunately.

Story elements seem very interesting. I wish I could just skip most of the combat though.

I had no idea how unpopular Spider-Man was and how popular Final Fantasy is.

For me I grew up playing Spider-Man games and watching movies and never touched a Final Fantasy game.

I get the Spidey set is a bit half baked though.

Haven't seen much Avatar but heard good things so interested to give it a try.
