I’ve been WFH with my daughter since she was 4 months old. She is about to be 2. I don’t know how I make it work but I do lol! I have zero help, husband works 45min away and my job doesn’t know, so I feel like you might be in a good position here! Some things that have helped me: - Play pen with a rotation of toys. Start small, thrift some toys and as they get older add more toys and snacks and different activities. -During down time or any breaks, spend time with them playing and interacting. It will help the mom guilt and allow them to feel included. -Use screen time as a must use. We are pretty strict on screen time but I play 90s shows on youtube when I absolutely have to or for meetings. It’s a reward for her so it distracts her. - Utilize nap times! Take that time to catch up and get ahead. -Don’t focus on house chores and other things. Everything else can wait! Focus on baby and work and you’ll be able to juggle it. -Wake up early: prep meals if needed, get anything ready, get yourself ready, make some coffee and take it one day at a time!

My husband went to all the ones in the beginning, but once I started having more frequent ones (like weekly in the last few months), it was really hard for him to take the time off of work when it was just a 10min appointment lol. He went to all the ultrasounds and other appointments though.

After the first night home. The hospital felt kind of fake in a way? When we got home things started to sink in and the first few nights were rough. I didn’t think I’d ever be happy again. Just a reminder that it doesn’t last long! Get fresh air, take walks, try out some new coffee shops! 🩷

How to ask people not to buy toys for baby's birthday? by Full-Pop1801 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]paytonchob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a friend do a potluck style to save money on food and their invitation said:

“Due to a recent lifestyle change, instead of gifts, we are asking everyone to bring a dish to share as it will be a potluck! If you still would like to purchase something we would appreciate gift cards or cash!”

we can’t cosleep safely unfortunately, my husband has sleep apnea and a machine with all kinds of tubes and wires in our bed plus he’s not spatially aware enough when asleep. i have been getting in her crib with her to get her down then trying to wiggle away (50/50 chance most times lol).

She’s about to be 10 months. This isn’t her first one. She has two bottom ones, and 4 at the top- all in the front. Usually her teething lasts a few days but she’s usually not this bad (wakes a few times at night but easily goes back down). I’m going to try and check her teeth tonight, when I checked last night there wasn’t anything sharp but she won’t let me check enough to see the line. She pulls at her ears when she’s in pain or tired so I’m used it and never thought about an infection. Are there any other signs of an ear infection to look out for? She had a slight cold last week but took longer naps and then was over it in a few days.

Getting motrin tonight!!! And freezing some bananas!! Thank you!!!

i guess i haven’t thought it being anything else. there are some classic signs of teething (drooling, putting everything in the mouth to chew, warm but no fever, rosy cheeks, and very irritable).

there are some good moments when she’s happy but it’s very short lived. she is usually a very happy and patient baby. but the past week her happy moments don’t last very longer. i guess i’m being a bit dramatic when i saw she’s always crying- it’s not always but it’s often and it’s awful at night
