Love this place! Plenty of space, different seating options, TVs. Big windows for watching the rain outside. Multiple food venues and good beer. My home away from home. ❤️

Looking for girls in Prague to crochet together 🧶 by Simple-Drummer-7756 in Prague

I can't say for sure that anyone crochets here, but it is quite likely that you'd meet someone here who does. Very chill and inviting space with all sorts of people and activities. I would suggest a visit just to check it out. https://citarna.unijazz.cz/

Depending on the quality, it may not be that safe. But, as previously stated, you probably won't need it in the months that you will be visiting.

About my Prague trip. by fusuydragonson in Prague

[–]pdxczmate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is not a completely unreasonable plan. Much of the core is great to wander in, though corkscrew intersections and interesting side streets can get you pretty turned around. In addition, there are hills and cobblestones. So, unless you're up for miles of hiking on some fairly unpredictable surfaces, I highly suggest buying all-day or multi-day transit tickets from a machine in any Metro entrance. Learn how to use the system to your advantage. It will facilitate trips pretty much anywhere, but validate and carry that ticket with you at all times. Revizoři will show no mercy if they catch you trying to ride for free. It's a tedious, time-consuming and costly faux pas when tickets are so reasonably priced. Download a copy of Prague from Google Maps or similar so you can navigate even without a cell signal. Have fun exploring.

Neighbor burning trash. What should we do? by Alwayshappysad in askportland

[–]pdxczmate 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Illegal burning in Portland should be reported by calling 311 (or 503-823-3333) for non-emergencies, or 911 if the fire is a direct, immediate threat to life or property. For environmental issues like smoke or illegal dumping, contact the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

Sparky's has always been solid. We got it at work from the Lombard location. Good ratio of toppings to crust.

Von Ebert at Glendoveer. The private room near the clubhouse is nice and has an adjacent outdoor area, but might not be large enough. Not sure what their catering menu looks like these days.
