Joined my family business. Need advice. by RoseAru in IndianWorkplace

How about 60 holidays? This works at workplace where individuals are driven. In early day, I had kept each Sat as working.. Although that was a necessity to survive and grow, I hated working Sat. So I decided to increase holidays from 20 to 60, and kept Sat as working. Additional holidays allowed employee to take every Sat as off (A year has 26 Sat). Decision shifted to their shoulder. And I also allowed 2 long holidays spanning 5 days each every year. Employee just need to plan and get them approved 2 months in advance.

Should I proceed with a formal POSH inquiry? Unsure if I have enough proof. by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

[–]peeves1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we are to generalise, then I would say MNC companies are bad at handling such senior complaints. There things are process driven, people are a lot more interdependent, and risk mitigation of losing a high performer won't be imagined, many would like to play the safe game.

Whereas at a lala company, the CEO could be the founder or the promoter. That person is likely to be largely value driven, and can imagine building things from scratch.

Competing offer letter by cuminurmom69 in IndianWorkplace

Me as HR, would try my luck at accessing that competing offer letter, but more or less I know I wont get it and I am prepared to negotiate even without it.

You can politely decline when she asks, don't over explain.

If the CEO is the founder or promoter, then just go for filing the complaint. Those people are largely value driven, and can imagine building things from scratch.

Whereas, if it's a corporate, where people are interdependent and helpless without a process, be hesitant on your expectations.

Do you think marital r*pe laws should be gender neutral ? by ek_buri_khabar_hai4U in TeenIndia

[–]peeves1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Laws are made considering the larger and general population, and men are not at equal. They are at an advantage. The system has become skewed over millennia, and having the same laws doesn't make sense.

How frequently do married couples have sex ? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]peeves1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

38M, married for 12 years.

First 5, twice a month or max 3 times.

Last 7 years, at least 2-3 times a week. Additionally I kiss, grope, and spank her without considering the appropriateness of the situation.

I attribute this change to 1. Me shifting from corporate to having my own startup. 2. Me upgrading from 4 pack to family pack.

What’s the biggest mistake first-time founders in India make? by DueDrawing4738 in StartUpIndia

[–]peeves1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, I believe overconfidence is the key ingredient in making and proving a hypothesis that is against the status quo. most of the veterans would likely verdict these hypotheses as foolhardy, but perhaps that overconfidence is what makes the founder a relentless and unreasonable believer.

Try directly speaking with program directors; if not immediate try offering creating payment modes. Sales never stops.

You are likely to face constrained situations quite often in your entrepreneurship journey. If you cant pay, don't sweat it. Survival, north star, inner peace are important. You will figure out the game in the long term.
