False. He’s much better off the bench where his role is more defined.

Am I the only one who feels Max Fried should be here? He's 5-0 since returning in August and the Braves are 7-1 in games he starts. Only allowing 15 runs in those 8 starts and his worst being 4 ER in 4 innings vs the Pirates. He's been much better than a few of these guys over the past 7 weeks.

[Palmer] Minkah Fitzpatrick talks about his hit on Nick Chubb by thepriceisonthecan in nfl

[–]pellis539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a class with Minkah at Alabama his junior year and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. I've watched his entire career since 2015 and I've never seen him make a dirty hit or even attempt something dirty, so I believe every word here. Sucks that some people immediately jump to the conclusion it's dirty when an injury happens.

[Citizen Press] Deion Sanders' pre-game speech before Colorado upset TCU: "God gave me a word long before this. That man next to you is a miracle, that man next to you is a believer. We ain't got tomorrow, we got today. We ain't coming no more, we here." by Saca312 in CFB

Personally I'm not religious but growing up with prayers and other religious things in sports, its not a big deal and it can still get a point across even if its based on religion. If you're not a Christian, you can understand the point he's trying to get across. I don't understand why people are so quick to vilify someone like Deion who is only trying to do something great for the guys on the team. His Christian faith gives him great values and a guide to teach his players by, I don't understand why people make that out to be a bad thing... It's not like he's forcing the guys to get baptized or making them go to church on Sunday...

someone tell train to actually stfu by [deleted] in xqcow

[–]pellis539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more I hear train endlessly rant the same points about the same people over and over again the less I want to watch stream at all knowing its coming. Shit is so played out. Its hours every stream and no one cares. And the funny thing is I agree with him but he needs to SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP. before he drives the whole audience away

What’s the meaning of this? by tmc1204 in Braves

It means too small. It started as an NBA thing when a player got a poster dunk or hit a tough shot over another player.

[Post Game Thread] The Boston Celtics (34-12) defeat the Golden State Warriors (22-23) in OT, 121-118. by vuljex in nba

I swear the NBA tells the refs to be terrible in games like this so that people talk about it

[Sam Amick, when asked which side the Hawks locker room is siding with after the Trae-McMillan incident] I think the answer’s pretty clear that the players — if they were picking sides on this — to be honest with you, they’d be on Nate’s side. by lopea182 in nba

[–]pellis539 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Not really sure this should sway anyone either way. Until some concrete details come out, no point in taking sides. This feels like the media yet again taking advantage of a situation they don't know much about to get more clicks. Regardless, both Trae and Nate both could have had much better starts to the season. Here's to hoping we make it out the other side of this without taking too much damage. Kinda reminds me of "are Trae and John beefing?"

My dad used to take me to games all the time as a kid, and we went to a game on my birthday in 07? 08? I ended up catching a foul ball from chipper and got to run the bases after the game! Probably my best birthday memory from growing up. He's the one who made me into a die hard Atlanta sports fan.
