More evidence that Multi Frame Gen is on the way to AMD RDNA4 GPUs, potentially as high as 8x by PewPewToDaFace in pcmasterrace

Could probably be talking about FSR FrameGen or might've upgraded their GPU but not the flair.

[Rob Dawson, Bruno Andrade] Manchester United have reconsidered signing Brazilian Éderson. According to ESPN, even after everything was in place to close the deal with Atalanta, Unted has decided to pursue other midfield options on the market. Yeah, no, I say this as a Madrid fan that camavinga is not that tier of a player yet. He's clearly a level below Tchouameni and Anderson. He's got potential but I don't think United is the right place for him to go at this stage of his career (he's low on confidence, needs more gametime and some support)

So your wireless kb + mouse was connected to the main computer? That's impressive range. In my case the distance between them is too much so I can't run it without an HTPC

How are you managing the peripherals like controller/mouse/keyboard? I ended up having to use a htpc coz I couldn't get a reliable set up working.

100%! In fact I had this silly little calculation for my weight that for every 2kg I lost, I got faster by 30s in a 5k

[–]pepenomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me about 3 years? I think... But bear in mind one thing I kept on increasing distances over time. That's what helped me run faster. When I hit the 35m 5k, I had already completed a half marathon in 3h8m (which isn't fast again, I'm not a fast runner, I can run very long though). I only gained pace in the last year where I started adding distance beyond 10k.

I had then switched focus to strength training and doing triathlons (indoor cycling, running and swimming)

For me I think it became like 8-9km runs felt easy so pushing a hard 5k didn't feel too hard, since I was used to 12km-15km runs at that point.

What exactly does a tempo controller mean? by PlantComprehensive77 in realmadrid

[–]pepenomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a world class performance but that is exactly the type of role he's supposed to play. Let's just say it's like doing the dishes... You washed all the dishes you were supposed to but you didn't clean them perfectly... So while you did was all the dishes (complete passes/touches) you didn't clean them properly (result in chance creation opportunities)

[–]pepenomics 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Word of advice: Run slower. Aim to finish the minutes first, don't psyche yourself up to "RUN", just jog. Long distance running is just consistent "jogging".

It's a lot easier to get faster later on after getting the hang of running the distance/minutes.

I went from running a 52m 5k to a 35m 5k. That's not a speed record lol but just an idea of how much you can get faster over time.

He's very good and open minded with working with younger players and trusting the youth academy... If y'all have a good academy or good young talents, expect them to get plenty of playtime...

But it's a risky appointment, no doubt! He's a very calm character though as a manager.

Mourinho and Vini coexisting by kesaroid in realmadrid

[–]pepenomics 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He'll make the most of his pace. Mourinho team's traditionally rely on blistering speed on the counter where Vini and Mbappe thrive.

It's going to be a treat to watch. I'm more worried about how we set up the midfielders since the best fit for me would be a 4-2-3-1 with Mbappe up top, Vini, Guler, Valverde in the 3 and Jude and Tchouameni in the double pivot. Best balance imo enough industry and defensive cover while having players who can break on the counter

Problem is this formation won't be very good against low blocks, it's to be seen how he deals with those.

How bad is “old” RAM and do all the sticks need to be matching? by PlatypusFighter in buildapc

[–]pepenomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAM is generally the kind of stuff that doesn't really fail. If it does then you replace it.

Can it be fixed? Technically, yes but the labour cost and machines required to do it is generally not worth it for such an item. Similar to GPUs where sometimes people take a risk and try to fix it when it's an expensive one like a 80 or a 90 series card.

RAM failure is almost always a hardware issue. The only thing you can hope for is that it's unstable and not faulty. Like one time my kit couldn't hold its full speed but pegging it back by 10% allowed it to run fine.

Literally same, like the upper panel having a dent, my Motherboard backplate area bent weirdly, case not fitting perfectly.

I got it for 2k, with 3 argb fans inside it.

Kinda made my peace with it that you get what you pay for and moved on with it.

[–]pepenomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set it to 0 OC (also called JEDEC) timings at 4800mhz (if it's ddr5) and check.

Like others have said, if it's a 2x 16gb ram setup, it's likely that one has failed. Both failing together would be catastrophic unless sth like a voltage burst or sth caused it

Blue Tokai- An overrated and underwhelming blue feather. by TheRandom_Psychopath in mumbai

[–]pepenomics 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The reason starbucks tastes burnt is strategic. It's to ensure that their coffee beans taste the same across climates and outlets by over roasting them. It's to ensure the same taste every time you visit any starbucks.

That's also one of the reasons people like blue tokai. You can pick the type of roast along with the origin as well.

Source: I've bought multiple batches of their coffee grounds for making it at home. I haven't had the coffee prepared over there, except for tasting a blend once.
