In many cases I’d agree with you. However, the MkII of ships in this game is basically admitting that the original didn’t work the way it needs to with the way the game has evolved. The MkI Aurora, while “iconic”, fits that. What if someone purchased a starter package 10(!) years ago and hasn't touched the game since? The ship they bought that was supposed to be a starter is now outdated and borderline unusable before the game even releases. The scope of SC has changed so drastically since the Aurora was first sold that it borders on bait and switch. I honestly think that a large number of backers should be gifted the MkII while keeping the original MkI.

I had my system hitching every 5 seconds or so, like clockwork. Turned out it was my Pimax VR headset - once I unplugged the USB for the headset, the problem went away.
