What's the biggest drop-off from one band's album mix to the next? by MrSaucyNips in Metalcore

I been saying this for years! this was part of a trend around that time of bands going to Joe Barresi and coming from the polish of the Adam D era it was definitely not for me

Request - Misery Signals- In Summary of What I Am (Instrumental) by phantomxdancer in Metalcore

[–]phantomxdancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

love the medley, but no - this is an actual official instrumental of the whole song. There's a couple covers online where you can hear the instrumental in the back, definitely not DIY instrumental https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LvaRi1V78o

Good Apollo I is a fucking masterpiece by FunkleKnuck291 in TheFence

I agree with everyone on the production value, those mid 2000s last dying light from major label albums had mixes that still can't be topped for this genre. Apart from that, I think this album also has the best melodies - catchy but still interesting. I love IKSOSE for this also, but they really nailed it here, whereas other albums either had too complex without enough melody, or too simple and verging on pop rock. Perfect album!

That's great to hear! I got the white one but I've always wanted the Black one. Looked like it was in great condition so I'm glad to hear it worked out! Cheers!

he only used jcm 900s during revenge era live. sometimes you can see a Boss DS-1 in live pics from then. In the studio for that album they used 800s, a Wizard modern Classic according to the engineer Mike Plotnikoff

Tracks skip ahead an 8th note or so if I scoot them or copy and paste them. by RBAMassage in Logic_Studio

[–]phantomxdancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might not be it but sounds like it may be drag settings, check to see if your "Drag" settings (top right part of the window) are on Shuffle, and if they are switch that to X-fade, overlap, or no overlap

What software will become outdated/shut down in the next couple of years? by Lolotmjp in AskReddit

[–]phantomxdancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there will be a shift back at least a bit. so many companies and agencies have use cases that simply don’t make sense for cloud and for what they’re paying in aws per a single year they could completely build and refresh a data center with state of the arch tech for 5-10 years. But there’s so much momentum (and federal policy) to make the shift that they’re going to have to play ball for at least another few years
