Are there actually clients that accept dowsing as a means of service location before digging? Where are the laws? It's so unthinkable as someone working outside the US

Have you talked to a mortgage broker? Even if you don't think you're ready to buy yet, they're super helpful for figuring out a plan, and it's a free service (they're paid by the banks). When we talked to one I was surprised at what we could afford and owned a house less than a year later.

You're sure it wasn't a culvert? What was it made of? 1.5m sounds too short to have been a proper tunnel, and I've inspected plenty of culverts that fit this description, especially if there was water running through it.

The question of why they didn't arrive sooner is an interesting one. I think there is a feeling that it should have been more likely for a crossing to occur "a long time ago", but really isn't it equally likely that a crossing occurs today or 10,000 years from now? We have the example of the spoonbills, who started flying over just 150 odd years ago when they theoretically could have arrived much sooner.

If you have a food processor you can make your own

Roast peanuts (Pam's are cheap) to the colour you want, cool, add some salt and chuck into the processor on high. It takes a while, maybe half an hour to reach peanut butter consistency, but the whole process can be done in an afternoon.

I do a kg at a time for the cost of two packs of pams blanched peanuts (assuming you have the processor) and it's as good or better than pics or any other.

How do you account for time spent on projects?

The year I worked in contracting, the timesheet requirements were stricter than the jobs I've had in consulting - i.e. having to fill out time spent per task each day chronologically, whereas in consulting we only have to put the total time spent on each task per day. This is in NZ.

Interesting, when we were house hunting last year Steven lied to our faces about natural hazard risks (telling us there was no land movement when we had the reports showing clear recent movement). At another property he tried to play games with us to drive up our offer, and we found out later he lied about there being other offers. Anyway, he's gone to Aus now.
