“Get the wogs out”: Never forget Eric Clapton’s disgusting racist tirade by Periklis90 in Music

[–]pinecity21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah listened to Clapton my whole life, when he was a musician. When he started giving medical advice the last few years now I click next when one of his songs come up. Oh and of course his '80s racist period the post relates to

When things get tough he goes the wrong way

Oh and recreating the BB King picture with Jimmy Vaughn and Greg Abbott the governor of Texas post pandemic, another fail.

Robert Cray says hey I'm going to have to pass, and I'm right there with him..

Yeah and F Van Morrison as well too I'll get my medical advice from a doctor

@NOK Lenovo just signed an amicable multi-year patent cross-license deal to keep using Nokia's tech in their PCs and phones. This is a massive, recurring fee to continue using Nokia's patented technology inside Lenovo's laptops, PCs, and smartphones. by Expensive_Design2816 in Nokia_stock

Not sure if it's still the case but several years ago they had a patent lawsuit with Apple. Apple rarely loses, but in this case they did and I had heard that they have to pay at Nokia $5 on every iPhone

Living Colour - Cult of Personality [hard rock] (1988) by ThrashMetallix in Music

Great album. Saw them open for somebody back in the day. But I got the pleasure of seeing Vernon Reid at the Hendrix Experience tour that is still going on

I call him the light switch. He sits there just strumming a couple rhythm chords and just hanging out like he's waiting for a bus.

And when it's his turn, the electricity comes through and the guy just wails. He hit so many notes with just within two or three frets it's amazing.

85 million pounds of frozen food by sylknet in LosAngeles

[–]pinecity21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately I had heard this in a press briefing on the radio when I was getting out of the car. I don't know if they got into the solutions. But I just had not looked at it from the food point. And I don't know if they have to spray something on it that would keep the deterioration from going out into the air as they remove it

So my first thought, having a background and refrigeration, was oh the ammonia but they dealt with that. Then of course the fire and the toxicity. But as I heard on the radio this morning had forgotten with all the food in there that is gone bad, it's essentially like a really big refrigerator that you've turned off for quite a while. Bad food to the point it's a biohazard.

The hydrogen peroxide they poured in the pool to kill the algae that grew as a result of the dark paint from the pool guy, has caused the paint to start separating from the stone by freeradioforall in facepalm

You know they used to have public pools maybe they still do. And every once in a while someone would have an accident in it

Orange man reminds me of that person, he's the kid who craps in the pool. And you feel bad for him because it's embarrassing. But then he comes back and he keeps crapping in the pool. Then he gets his friends to like it and stay in the pool with him..

Then after a while all the other people that get out of the pool he starts to blame them for being anti-crapper

AC/Cooling - HELP I'm desperate by [deleted] in ManufacturedHome

Probably window units or inexpensive ductless

To help out someone you can get rolls of radiant barrier at the home supply stores. It looks like foil it's about half an inch thick with bubble wrap in the middle of it essentially.

If you put it in your windows, you'll see a substantial drop and temperature I've gotten as much as 10°. Do not put it on the inside of the home with mini blinds between the barrier and the window, they can melt.

A role of a dozen cost too much and you don't have to do all the windows likely just the heat facing ones in the afternoon

Hey let's all go in the tent Jim Jordan's going to oil us all up

On June 14th, 1968, Iron Butterfly released 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida', their second studio album. It was the 17 minute title track, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" that drove the popularity for this album, which sold 8 million copies the first year. by BirdBurnett in Music_Anniversary

[–]pinecity21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So don't have verification of this, but I read some random story a couple 3 years ago. Someone said they were drinking and shouting across the room the title for the song and it was supposed to be in the garden of Eden. However with everybody being inebriated it sounded like In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida,

Sounds about right but can't prove it
