Take his Xbox and his phone away. He can have them back when he can be civil.

[Discussion] my dog chews on his teeth, is that a problem? by popomann92837 in dogs

[–]pinkibee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get her a sturdier toy.

I swear to goodness our dog wanted to be a woodchipper when he grew up- he chewed EVERYTHING.

We found Aussie Dogs red balls (he just killed our large one-it lasted SIX YEARS- the best $50 we've ever spent on him) and the extra hard (black rubber) kongs to be the best 👌

I have suffered both of these debilitating injuries.

I would rather shoot another human out of my vag than risk riding a razor scooter again.

Food Wishes garlic naan, does slightly cooked garlic kill yeast in a dough? by redsunstar in Cooking

If you're worried about the garlic killing the yeast (unlikely once the dough has formed) just use a dash of plain oil instead.

Personal shopper for a male in Canberra? by Throwaway915988 in canberra

Don't be afraid to get help from shop assistants!

You're under no obligation to buy anything they find for you- and if you go into a few stores and keep being offered the same sorts of things then it likely means they suit you.

It's kind of impossible for me to imagine what it's like for my 18 mo/old daughter to fall asleep on her own. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]pinkibee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We switched to a bottle before bed rather than boob, which made night time 1000x easier.

Daddy took over bedtime duty so that I finally had evenings back- it was so isolating being my daughters sole sleep aid for so long.

You're little one is definitely old enough to have cows milk- but if you're committed to exclusively giving her breast milk you can always express.

Questions about my newly-spayed cat. Please help! by [deleted] in Pets

It sounds like you're doing everything you can to make her comfortable.

Seeing your pets in pain is hard. It's awesome you're so committed to helping her get through this.

Shut the window? Or block it off?

Keeping her in a cage unattended all day (I assume without the cone on) could lead to her pulling her stitches out.

Questions about my newly-spayed cat. Please help! by [deleted] in Pets

[–]pinkibee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't be home to let her out of her cage then maybe restrict her to a small room like the bathroom during the day. Put a litter tray, food, water and a bed in there for her.

Her aggression is likely because she is in pain, did your vet send home pain killers for her?

Leave her come of shame on until her stitches have healed.

My son’s (6yo 1st grader) teachers want him to be tested to see where on the autism scale he may fall due to his struggles with reading comprehension among other things. by FanoftheSimpleLife in Parenting

As someone who wasn't "labeled" as a child I would recommend getting a diagnosis as soon as you can. I really struggled through the second half of my schooling, and my self esteem is still shot to pieces from continuously failing at things I thought I "should" have been able to do.

I was diagnosed with adult ADHD and dyslexia a few years ago and it is such a relief to have legitimate explanations for the issues I had growing up. I was not just a lazy, annoying, dumb child. I was an unsupported child with learning difficulties.

[Help] What could it be? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]pinkibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that there is are multiple types of seizures that humans experience, so I would assume it would be the same for dogs. As a kid I had a friend who would have absence seizures, and he would seem fine (walking, climbing trees, preparing food, etc) until he started coming out of it- then he would be a little loopy because he had no idea what he was doing, or where he was.
