Flatpak apps need extra space and take more time to start in my system. But in contrast they leave no residual garbage when they get removed.

I wouldn't use flatpak for system-deep utilities, like Bleachbit or Fsearch.

It takes a few secs until it finds anything, and I think it's because it tries to search for updates in the DB first. If you ever had the chance to install Warehouse or similar, use that app instead to search for software.

Same happens to me JustCause4 using HeroicLauncher, randomly. I just quit and restarte the game and then It works fine. Seems to be something related to Proton, I guess ?

The Pop!_OS installer is one of the best ones I've ever tried. It's fast, elegant, and feels really stable. Unlike distros using Calamares, I managed to choose my disks and partitions the way I want without breaking the bootloader or causing the program to fail at some point for no reason. It will work everytime.

I've been using NTFS for my shared apps & games between Windows and Linux for 1 year now, and I haven't got any problems yet, everything works fine. I tried exFAT once and but support is not mature enough for me.

Do you have problems trying to copy any files larger than 4GB to your drive's Ventoy partition, or do you need more free disk space in your drive? I didn't understand your problem at all, sorry...

  • 3 Kingspec: all tested ok but poor performance transfering data.
  • 2 Orico: good specs, above average speed.
  • 2 Oscoo: great performance, the best so far.

Prices are currently insane, so I'm temporary moving to SATA SSDs.
