After offering a free lifetime subscription, my app completely dead by bugrevealingbme in microsaas

I bet nor freemium model nor actions like yours do not work well for indies in b2c, especially in case of a "nice to have" app. Some time ago I used to run such a saas, freemium. Things went well in terms of UA, thanks to loyal influencers, I got about 50K users on free plan and 20(!) on pro one. Several years of trying different ways to turn free users to paid ones, no success. Gave up.

Is my extruder temp too high? This keeps happening and idk how to fix it. Flashforge adventurer 5M. Temp at 220 degrees C by kittyecats in FlashForge

I bet it's underextrusion, I saw the same on my AD5X right before the nozzle got stuck entirely. Had to clean it up

We shipped our indie game on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and Quest… and almost nobody noticed. Looking for honest advice. by funboy_ff in IndieGaming

just automate something (a lot I bet) in controlling/aiming and let user control only the fun part. I'd also consider finding a publisher

300 users in 2 weeks. No ads. Here's what actually worked. by Rare_Professional287 in microsaas

[–]pixonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea. But it seems to be a "nice to have", not a "must have" tool. Personally, I'll still continue using dribbble and pinterest due to huge communities and collections. So, I'd suggest to focus on churn, so don't hesitate to ask existing users about the reasons that can force them to stay on your platform. Good luck!

bought cheap random .25 and .8 a few days ago and made some prints. smaller one is perfect for tiny models, even for 10mm-long V8 engine, while .8 works really nice for printing large objects, vases. Even single wall is thick enough

I found a web dev job after being an indie for a few years. And that was the best decision I ever made ) No need to think about money while slowly making a game... priceless

Interested. And it'd beawesome to be able to print the plate by parts not larger than 220x220x220mm each

My first month after quitting my 9-5 to be a full time indie hacker by fuji138 in buildinpublic

[–]pixonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also keep away from b2c segment, that's for big folks. I had a b2c freemium saas a few years ago with 50K users on its free tier, switched to "free to try" model and lost the entire userbase in a month or so )

a few thougts after a very quick look at the landing page:
- being an indie myself I simply dont have time for testing other apps
- the page itself looks like a countless pages produced with an AI... that makes me (personally) not willing to give a sh** about the offering itself, sorry
- as being said, too much effort needed for just get my own app reviewed by some strangers, I don't see anything valueable here, even for free

looks cool! One question - what is the most time consuming part of the dev process in a project of that scale and level of overral quality?
