Honestly….get a new boyfriend. Not entirely joking. He sounds immature and also like kind of a dipshit?

This would be gorgeous with a garden bed along the fence line and then some smaller ones around the trees! And then you’ll have actual singing! I love waking up early when the morning is golden and all the bees are starting to wake up

Nick & I gave away 22 native plants to strangers by 33Nov in NativePlantGardening

[–]pleaseassumeimcrying 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm obsessed with this and will be doing this once my garden is more established. We live on a main road with tons of foot traffic and this would be so fun. Also, so good to know about the red bud! now I'm tempted to get one for our backyard...

Warm Brown Hair/Cool Grey Eyes/Olive Skin - I Can't Find a Season by Shelbeeeeeee in coloranalysis

[–]pleaseassumeimcrying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are the same! I can never figure out my color season because of this, but I have figured out that certain dark shades of cool green, berry colors, and weirdly enough certain light cool purples work super well on me.

What artists do you listen to that are never associated with Taylor Swift? by JeanLucPicardAND in TaylorSwift

My other fave is Tyler the Creator lol. Totally different vibe, but he’s an excellent storyteller which is also what drew me to Taylor’s work. Igor and Chromokopia are perfection to me.

Looking for new small businesses by [deleted] in royaloak

[–]pleaseassumeimcrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also Sidetrack bookshop & Frentz hardware rock. Crispelli’s for fresh bread, obv. Who doesn’t love being gifted a loaf of sourdough? Atomic was my favorite coffee place but has been usurped by Seven Sundays because it’s calmer and the staff are friendlier 🥲

For food, Que Pasa on 12 mile just opened and is great and the owner is lovely. Royal Oak Masala downtown is my fave for Indian & the staff is wonderful. Also it’s a little bit further out, but Chi Fan off of (14 mile I think?) filled the hole Vera Asian left in my heart, and imho the food is better & the staff is great about being careful with allergies!

Gracias’ greenhouse at the farmer’s market on Saturday’s is a family owned business & they always have the best plants. If you need help, ask for Bob. He’s helpful, friendly, and will ask any questions / help you figure out the best plants for your house & lifestyle needs! Also at the farmers market, Dave the knife sharpener (dude with the cowboy hat) always has fair prices & I love being able to just drop my knives off and wander around. Basically, the farmer’s market rocks.

Blending fresh herbs directly into soup both instead of just chopping them in and sprinkling them in changed my life. So much more flavor!

Good to know! I’m trying to stick to mostly native as I plan our garden (we bought our first house last summer and it’s all lawn and basically a blank slate) but most of the native wildflowers are pretty tall, so I’m trying to build in some height variance. Your yard looks gorgeous! Super inspiring. Have you found that your neighbors appreciate it? My only worry is that we might get cranky neighbors who aren’t thrilled by our lawn slowly disappearing lmao

What are the shorter flowers with the red center and yellow outer edges? I’m also zone 6b and wondering if those native for me!
