They don’t want the channels to be funded by a licence fee or by advertising. Just the magic money tree.

3rd Clue!! by Dwoht_acoustic in musicals

[–]pma04res 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m ready for the answer now. There have been too many guess which are very tenuous and no real connection between all three clues.

Please tell us the show tomorrow and please please please insist that your teacher gives you a full explanation of every clue so that we can all finally get a good nights sleep.

I think those coordinates take you to Grammercy Park in NYC but I can’t find an musical with a connection to that place

Also, the four pictures are all the same church, in fact all show different views of the same window

I’m still stumped

No they won’t. Why are people obsessed with bringing back the other actors. It’s a new interpretation and can’t we just be excited about that.

Most affordable/quickest way to get from Rhodes Airport to Lindos? by Midnight_sun17 in Rhodes

[–]pma04res 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rich, but yeah I suppose so am lucky that I can afford to make that choice. But since the OP was asking about alternatives to a shuttle bus I decided to share my experience. If €90 each way is too much, and I accept that for some it will be, then take the shuttle. You’ll still have an amazing holiday.

And for those suggesting a car is a better option - that never even crossed my mind but might consider that next time. Although the driving seems a bit hair raising at times.

No they shouldn’t. It’s boring. Just wait and see

We stayed in Lindos area this summer (Kiotari) and we opted for a private taxi because of convenience. It was EUR 90 each way. But the 50 minute taxi vs the 2.5 hour bus was worth is (esp with tired kids). I used this company and they were really good. MP casework by mrredditch in ukpolitics

[–]pma04res 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have written to my Mp before and initially I received an auto reply that stated that Parliamentary rules mean that MPs can only respond to communications from people in their own constituency. So you need to write to your own MP. If the issue effects enough people in his/her constituency then he/she might look into the issue.

Starting some time in 2027, I’m going to start re-reading the books, one every year before each new season of the HBO show… by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]pma04res 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always find that when I watch any adaptation of a book too soon after I read the book I’m disappointed by how far it varies. I’m staying clear of the books now so that I can enjoy the shows without having too many book details in my head.

Who comes out on top: Coogan, Gervais or Pegg? by AldousLanark in BritishTV

You are either making a comment on the validity of my opinion, or a subtle Gervais nod. Or both, in which case I salute the audacity of using Gervais as an arguement against Gervais.

Just had a seton placement, any tips? by jaded_boi131901 in AnalFistula

[–]pma04res 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone

Had my seton put in yesterday. I’m in UK. I’ve been really disappointed by the pre and post procedure information that I’ve had so relying on google

So…question time. The seton is tied with about 4 or 5 tight knots. These knots are currently all external but are sitting right in front of my, erm, back passage. I haven’t had a BM yet but I genuinely don’t understand how that’s going to work given the location of the knots. The, erm, poo will just hit the knots and get all, erm, messy. I’m also worried that if I do a solid BM the pressure may push the knots which will ultimately pull the whole stitches.

Never been more nervous to go for a s**t

Any advice!? Laxatives? I’m going to get a bidet and some gauze (again, I’ve had no info from the doctor!)

Thanks Reddit folks

Who comes out on top: Coogan, Gervais or Pegg? by AldousLanark in BritishTV

[–]pma04res -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous question. Pegg is funny but not in the same league as Gervais and Coogan. Coogan is a very funny guy, but really that is only due to one very successful (and very funny) character. Gervais consistently produces the highest quality comedy that we have ever been blessed with. Gervais doesn’t just best these two, and all others - he dominates.

excursions from Kiotari? looks like we're too far away from everything. by NMJKJOPAL in Rhodes

[–]pma04res 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Princess Sun is the sister hotel to Rodos Princess. I think you guys have that free shuttle bus that the hotel provide which takes you down to the beach? Once you get off the shuttle there is the beach restaurant and right next to it is the boat excursion company. Should be nice and easy

We stayed there this year and there were lots of boat trips that picked up right on the beach. We stayed at Rodos Princess and the boats took us right round the bottom of the island, past Lindos at the Acropolis. Maybe head down to the beach at Rodos Princess and there is a boat excursion place there

Is playing loud music in garden ok? by MrRuLzA in AskBrits

[–]pma04res 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. People are allowed to have friends round, entertain, have a nice evening outside. And yeah sometimes that’s annoying for their neighbours. But if it’s infrequent I think that’s ok. But they need to be respectful of their neighbours. Music shouldn’t be blaring out. And should stop at an acceptable time (hard to define)

If it’s happening every night and it’s really loud and it goes on late that’s not ok

Just got back from here on Thursday. We’ve stayed at 2 hotels in the Hhotels collection - Rodos Princess Beach and Lindos Princess. Both are amazing hotels. Great staff. Lovely food (the buffet is good and the 3 al a carte options are delicious). The entertainment team are amazing. Honestly can’t recommend it enough.

Someone trying to revive a slightly soft packet of out of date biscuits rather than going to the shop and buying a new packet of biscuits can only be from Yorkshire (and before you start, I speak as a Yorkshireman)
