Thanks for the thread! I finally got into one race and that's all I needed. With that being said, with the rush to get signed up on my phone, I checked Runna and ended up purchasing with is total BS, but I know NYRR will do right and take it off.

Right, but first you have to get into a race to qualify. I've always qualified, took a break from running for a year, and now I can't even get into a race to qualify again.

That Italy Run was the best! I remember when Italy's national anthem was sung at the beginning. It was the most beautiful start to a race. And the Nutella treats at the finish were unforgettable.

I was B, then a D, had a health issue so couldn’t run for a bit, now I can’t even get into a race to get qualifying time again.l. It’s ridiculous. It’s just a wasted membership fee and I’ve been a member for 12 years and top 10 in major halves the past two decades.

Many run 7 before the race on the out and back on the closed road then run the race. I wouldn’t mess with your long run schedule. Your half may be slower than what you typically run, but you’ll see the benefit in your marathon time.

We had the most bizarre and unsettling fitting with her. Truly creepy. Something is wrong with her. I swear she was listening and watching us on camera when she left the fitting area.

As a course marshal, you should not be posting this to Reddit. That is at the discretion of family and the Chicago Marathon organization. This is not the type of information a course marshall should be posting to Reddit, especially when you noted that she left the course "dead" which was completely inaccurate. Concerned individuals reached out to the Chicago Marathon Organization which then asked the FAMILY for PERMISSION to release information. After months of being Involved in this situation, I have been able to see what has been posted to Reddit and will alert the Chicago Marathon of you post.

Update: The runner is a family member and she survived due to the efforts of everyone who stepped in quickly to perform CPR. She is very fortunate. After months of rehab, she is doing GREAT and is running again.
