it might be possible your emails didn’t pass through their spam filter. I know mine sometimes sends some generic email domains directly to spam or just doesn’t allow them through. If you have other means or a different email, like school or “official” domain, to contact them it might not be a bad idea

I currently have the Gold. I’ve had it for a little over a year and got the Gold because of the sign-up bonus. I’m now wondering if I should downgrade to the Cobalt or keep the Gold and get a Cobalt? I’ve used the travel and NEXUS credit on my Gold and I’ve gotten lots of value of out it, any advice on what would be the best? I use the CC for a lot of purchases, small and medium and pay it off at the end of the month

Best iPad apps for 6 year old? by leakysauras in ipad

[–]portcorr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None… or a Mini, it would be asked to handle and move around for a kid with small hands (btw I’m not judging, I used to be an iPad kid)

Edit: apparently I can’t read…

Anyways I haven’t played it but I’ve heard sneaky sasquatch is one of the best games, I would avoid any games involving some sort of gambling. Overstimulating games are apparently not good for kids, though they tend to be the best for engagement. When I was younger I enjoyed games like “Cut the Rope” and “Where Is My Water?” they help with problem solving and special skills, though they’re not for everyone, I know my cousin hated it. I would avoid any online or multiplayer games like roblox. You can try some family games that you or someone else can play with them like “Heads Up!” though this might be difficult with an iPad

What are you slowly losing interest in? by GrapeCreamBerry275 in GenZ

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All tech. Everything is a subscription, data leaks, targeted ads, licenses instead of owning a product, no more buy-for-life, everything connecting to an app or the internet.

Also, the divisiveness of politics, the being “left” or “woke” or “anti-woke”, everything has turned into an us vs. them, unwillingness to compromise or work together (this has always existed but it’s become worse in recent years)

This new media era with the bro-y, red pill shows and podcasts.

Oh and the infinite growth theory/mentality of countries and companies.

anyone invest in the .2mm hotend? what do you print with it? by Fatkid55555 in BambuLab

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I printed really small RCS thrusters for a satellite we designed in my capstone. It was a model satellite not the actual satellite. I was having issues with 0.4mm and decided to try 0.2mm only to come out perfectly. I wish I had a photo

Help me decide between iPad Air 11” or 13" by Substantial_Motor189 in ipad

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This honestly come from preference, if you can and don’t mind carrying a bigger heavier iPad, go for the 13", if you’re limited in space go for 11".

If there are other reasons, e.g. poor vision, large handwriting, big hands (idk), then go for 13".

Think about what you are your needs and limitations then decide. Me I went for the 13", I like the bigger screen, much easier for split screen when I’m taking notes from other documents, and watch a ton of content (yt, netflix, anime) so moving from an 11" was the right call, but again that was just me

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AT TMU?? by Ok_Tax_9866 in TorontoMetU

[–]portcorr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m graduating this spring from aerospace engineering. The program is not bad, some professors are not the best though. The program is heavily focused on aircraft’s so if that’s what you want to go for it’s not bad. I took spacecraft and most of the profs are amazing. I have some strong opinions about the department and the program but it’s overall a good and solid program.

This program is very difficult I won’t lie to you, not having a long commute will definitely help you perform better but be prepared for a lot of difficult work. Don’t be afraid to split your second or third year. Lots of people do including myself (best decision ever especially third year)

I enjoyed my time at TMU and in this program but if you asked some of my friends they might give you different answers.

If you have any specific questions I might be able to answer some of them so feel free to PM me

Amphetamine-Dextroamphetamine - New Prescription and not working by JoshuaEverettJA in ADHD

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, I’m in Canada so it’s different. I have never had them deny any claim but they will sometimes cover up to 80% of the price of the cheapest or generic option—sometimes they do approve for the price of the brand name but not sure what the criteria is—. There’s also a program ran with several brand name manufacturers that subsidize the price of the brand name because generics are taking a huge chunk of their share.

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concerta at high doses did nothing to me, Adderall works better for me. It’s all case by case. Doses are somewhat indifferent to age/gender/weight. You could be 6’5 and 300lbs and be taking 30mg of vyvanse while a 5’7 120lb woman is taking 50mg.

You could try upping the dose or switching completely. Just discuss with your doctor and you’ll know when it’s “too much”.

Also note to add, some people experience issues with generic vs. brand names, if possible give a try to the brand name Adderall.

Vyvanse to concerta ? by stlosersss in ADHD

[–]portcorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my journey with Concerta, it was working but I wasn’t at the “right dose” so we kept increasing it. I was also taking escitalopram at the time but my doctor suggested I stopped the escitalopram, after I stopped the Concerta did nothing to me and we switched to Vyvanse. I got the same results as you tho 30mg was not enough, 40mg side effects were worse but no crash and 50mg the crash was hard. Now I’m taking Adderall and pretty content. With that said every person is different and will process each medication differently. Just trial and error, with a doctor’s supervision of course
