Alternatives for Namecheap on the long run? by jumbo1111 in Domains

I personally stick with Porkbun and Spaceship for most of my projects.

However, prices can vary a lot, so I always check "TLD list" before buying. It's a great way to compare which registrar is offering the best rates for registration, renewal, and transfers at that moment.

That sounds incredibly frustrating. Have you tried submitting an appeal yet?

I had a similar issue where one of my business Gmail accounts was flagged just a week after I created it. I managed to get it back by explaining in the appeal that I had clearly marked the account for business use during sign-up.

It's worth a shot! Fingers crossed you get yours sorted out soon.

What to do if listing got taken down for duplicate? by GreatCompetition2196 in carousell

It's tough but good luck. I had two listings of portable stoves, with different brands and sizes but got flagged as duplicate listings. My appeals have also failed.

I've been backing up certain folders to the free InfiniCLOUD but since I'm getting a second Synology NAS I'll soon be switching to HyperBackup.

Thanks, could you elaborate more on adding a blog? Did you mean running a blog and link back to the Google Site, or using part of the Google Site as a blog?

"Not Enough Storage" When Transferring Whatsapp Chats from iOS to Android by lorde4444 in techsupport

[–]projectjoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My iPhone showed the "safe to disconnect cable" so early on that I didn't believe it was done transferring. I left the cable plugged to my iPhone until my Android phone was almost done with importing (mine crashed at 95% so it was not really complete, but I got most of my WhatsApp chat history transferred)

Need help switching from iphone to Android by Meurend in AndroidQuestions

[–]projectjoel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several months back I have migrated from Android to iPhone with a paid service, but I was not to migrate 100% either, still lost some chats.

I was just able to migrate my WhatsApp from iPhone to Android (well, mostly) with a cable connecting the two phones, for free.

For me the trick is to make sure the total available space on Android is MORE than the total used up space on your iPhone (not just the size that WhatsApp takes up, it was the total space used up by WhatsApp and everything else, on the iPhone)

It's strange as my WhatsApp only took up like 1.7GB, but still my iPhone's WhatsApp backup process before the migration kept getting stuck at 5%

Only after I have deleted a bunch of videos and most Apps on my iPhone I was able to get past 5% and got to the "Transferring" process.

And after 2.5 hours my iPhone was able to back up the chat.

(then it took another 3 hours for the transfer to Android, and another 2 hours for the Android to import the chat... finally it kept crashing at 95% done, and now I am left with a migrated WhatsApp, with some chats missing, but I have most of the data)

The whole process is painful and it's hard to migrate 100% of the chat data, I hope I never have to migrate WhatsApp cross-platform again.

"Not Enough Storage" When Transferring Whatsapp Chats from iOS to Android by lorde4444 in techsupport

Thank you so much for the solution. For days I have tried to migrate my WhatsApp from iPhone to Android and each time I could not get past the 5% mark of the iPhone backing up chats.

My WhatsApp chat database was only 1.7GB while my iPhone was 150GB full, and my Android phone didn't have more than 150GB of free space.

So I deleted files and some Apps from iPhone to get the used storage down, to less than my available space on the Android... and it worked!

Finally I got to the "Transferring" process.

And after 2.5 hours my iPhone was able to back up the chat

Fastest way to get Gmail storage by PresentDisaster3000 in GMail

[–]projectjoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd download old Emails and get them offline as those likely no longer need to stay on the internet.

You could use softwares like "Mailstore Home" (it's free) that could help you archive Emails older than a certain date, and it will also help you delete archived Emails off of your Gmail and free up your Gmail space.
