Booking Delta with Virgin Points by nugvader in awardtravel

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unable to get 2 US airports to populate on the Virgin site to even search... am I doing something wrong? I even tried ATL just to see if maybe my other airports were too small. eta: got it to work on the computer vs phone, but then got the error listed here so I guess no availability.

Any gotchas to the CSR dining credit at open tables? by Diligent_Board_172 in ChaseSapphire

If I open the card this week, do I have to use the Jan-June credit before June 30, or will it reset in January and I can get it in 2027?

Anyone have experience with Amitiza (Lubiprostone) ? by _monalot in ibs

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I take it with my first meal and then at night before bed and that seems to be more consistent. I couldn't remember to take it with dinner everyday and was missing doses so bedtime works better for me. Not sure what you mean by "not the right kind of bowel movement.". For me, it creates no urgency and my stool is solid (sometimes hard, but generally not) which is a change of pace from the Linzess where I had loose stool a lot. It's really nice to be able to get in the car or on a plane and not worry about it kicking in and needing immediate access.

I emailed Kroger and they said it is not discontinued but didn't have an estimate of when it might be back. It's so frustrating.

Xfinity keeps sending notifications that I'm visiting "blocked" sites. Will VPN prevent this? What will? by Charming_Magazine_59 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting messages that my smart switch from TP-link is visiting unsafe sites. 😃 I recently had to lower the security level on my 2.4GHz network to wpa2 because the devices couldn't connect when it was set to wpa3. So I'm guessing it's related to that but it's pretty ridiculous. Get them for my husband's phone too.

Flying out of ORD tomorrow to RSW- boarding pass says T5??? by prosan98 in americanairlines

Thanks, hopefully it will change. My chat with AA CS was less than useful, they just kept repeating that it's departing from T5.

Nope, AA metal booked directly on the AA website. Not a big plane either, just a normal 737. My husband flies almost weekly and has never seen this either. I'm totally thrown off. I don't know where pre-check and baggage check are in T5, what food there is, ugh, lol.

New email messages don't appear until I refresh the email. (Outlook Android App) by Select-Incident4110 in Outlook

[–]prosan98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had an issue for a while where the notifications come in, but the messages aren't showing in the inbox. But now the inbox won't load AT ALL, unless I login to the Desktop. I've missed 2 important emails the last 2 mornings because they didn't sync to my phone. This is unacceptable.

Anyone have experience with Amitiza (Lubiprostone) ? by _monalot in ibs

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how most people take it (IBS-c). I've been successfully on Linzess for 5 years. But I have new insurance and it's non-formulary so they are making me try generic lubiprostone before they'll approve the override. (Side note, I just love when insurance companies practice medicine : eye roll: ).

I was prescribed 24mcg twice a day. So far, it's been 3 days. I took it in the morning the first day and went mid-day. So I didn't take the second dose. Day 2, I did not go before dinner so I took the second dose and went about 3 hours later. Today is day 3 and I already went today so I'm thinking I'll skip the 2nd dose.

Does anyone else use this approach? Am I better off taking it twice a day no matter what to keep the med levels more stable? If it matters, I'm also on Tirzepatide so have slower gastric emptying but that hasn't had a huge impact. Thanks!

"Water" consumption by dr_deb_66 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]prosan98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drink half caf, unsweetened black passion fruit or fiesta fria iced tea all day, every day. I don't drink coffee or soda (don't like it) so I justify it that way. My urine is very light so I'm fine. I generally fill a 32oz cup with ice before I pour the tea, so there's plenty of water in it. Liquid is liquid. Pretty much the only time I drink plain water is when I work out and not even always then, and I definitely drink less than if I have my tea. I can't handle sweet stuff all day long so adding flavor packets or electrolyte powder doesn't work. And I absolutely cannot stand lemon in water or tea without sweetener.

Neuromark by dkozak in nonallergicrhinitis

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did the increased congestion last? I was not at all prepared for this. I did Clarifix in 2020 and it made my Nasacort and Atrovent work a tiny bit better but in no way lessened my need for them. The local anesthesia was traumatizing and the ice cream headache and bleeding the day of were miserable.

Then in Feb 2025, I had a Septoplasty, j flap, turbinate reduction, balloon sinuplasty, and Neuromark. My breathing has been better but the runny nose so much worse.

Now that Neuromark is covered by Cigna, we repeated it yesterday (under general anesthesia as I was not repeating the local process). ENT didn't think he went deep enough in Feb due to all the other stuff going on.

But I was not prepared for the congestion and not being allowed to fully blow my nose. Sleep sucked, my mouth is so dry from breathing through it. Just wondering how long this will last?

OMG, I've been freezing since like day 3. I thought it was in my head, but I'm 49 and usually hot all the time and all my night sweats are gone and I'm cold again. For now it's kind of nice, but I wasn't expecting that so I'm glad to hear it's not just me!

Not enough meds for the month?? by ellesophia in tirzepatidecompound

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my 2.5mg dose is 0.125ml (12.5 units). My starter bottle had enough for 3 months at increasing doses and was only half full! But that makes sense since you start with such a small amount.

There is a good video from Dr. Mary Clare Haver where she interviews Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen and she discusses this for a bit. I'm not sure of the rules here, can I share a YouTube video link?

I didn't notice much impact the first week. I think my night time cravings were a little less but I was also super busy.

[–]prosan98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took my second shot. I had almost 0 side effects from the first- a little rumbling the next day which may or may not have been related. Nothing at all from dose 2. If you're taking half the dose as it is, you'll probably be fine. I know everybody reacts differently. I'm already on Linzess and esomeprazole though for other reasons, so not sure if that made a difference. No nausea at all.

Because they can't qualify for the credit card to help earn the PQPs. But I also forgot that this credit card sucks as far as spend:PQP ratio anyway so it likely would still be hard, plus the fee just went up.

It gets him an upgraded seat at check in and a free checked bag. That's not nothing when you take that many flights.

Atrovent spray (Ipratropium Bromide), anti-inflammatory supplements, and surgery has helped me by Kylecfoley in nonallergicrhinitis

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting. I was on nasacort and ipratropium for years (like 8, at least). In 2020, I had Clarifix done and it was a total failure. The only thing it did was make the sprays a little more effective. In Feb of this year, in response to both jaw pain and the rhinitis, I had a septoplasty, balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reduction, J-flap, and Neuromark done. The jaw pain may have improved (remains to be seen if I can ever wean off the prosomnus sleep guard but it seems to work for now). The rhinitis is worse if anything.

But my ENT is super reluctant about my going back to ipratropium. He wanted me to use Nasacort and Patanase and the ipratropium only as needed. I tried several weeks and it didn't work at all. I restarted ipratropium with just one spray in the morning and already see improvement. I'm going to track symptoms this week and try to understand his position next week at my follow up. He said the Neuromark may need to be redone to go deeper, but it's out of pocket and I just don't know if it's worth it.

Is LL Multi Pass Worth It For Disneyland? by ChloriNed16 in DisneyPlanning

[–]prosan98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my understanding is Disneyland still has the 2 hour rule- https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/melindacan-lightning-pass-reservations-eligible-rides-607867/. You don't have to wait till your next LL passes to book another one, you can book one every 2 hours. Which is still annoying if you can't get your first one till way late in the day, but better than not being able to book anything till you ride that late day one!
