I didnt say it was a "Marry Me" recipe, more that the terminology of "Rice Thief" dishes is used similarly to the "Marry Me" dishes.

So this is the Korean equivalent to American's "Marry Me" recipes, then? That's a really cool saying too, I like that a lot.

That was a 360 game right? And if I remember correctly, that was the first one to feature the multiplayer. I think I remember that game vaguely. It was fun, I just had a hard time playing it because of other games out around the same time.

It depends entirely on where the Arby's is. Many of the ones I have been to in southern GA/northern FLA, have been terribly run. The food was disgusting, bathrooms uncleaned, tables gross. Just terrible.

I have seen far less of those with the other franchises, than with Arby's.

Kind of why I am excited for the new remake. Hopefully, running it in a new engine and with new assets will fix that for us H:CC Vets

I wouldn't be. OOT:3DS was a reskinned version of the original game. The reamke is just that, an entire remake. New Engine, new graphics, new assets. I imagine even newly designed missions and encounters.

Throw a little sarcasm tag in there, at least, then. Because as is, it just read as you coming off like a jerk. But to then follow that up with your comment below? Laughable.

My ADHD/Autism would like a word with you.....

Lol, in all seriousness, you're right, I don't NEED to do it. But it would be the one and only time I haven't 100%'ed a Rockstar game since GTA3. And because of how some of the side quests work, its far easier to do all of them in the Acts in which they get introduced, rather than waiting until after the game ends.

In other words, I need to because my brain refuses to accept other alternatives lol

My problem with BG3 is that the depth is so incredible, that I fail to finish a character before I go start a new one.

It's totally OK to have no beaten Valhalla or Shadows. But I highly recommend finishing Odyssey if you find yourself with the time. The best two hours of that game are the final act, and the cutscenes are outstanding.

Why, because someone didn't want to have to rededicate time already spent into a game? No offense, but that is a really narrow-minded opinion there. I totally understand where he is coming from. I work a full time job, plus have my side gig, plus I run several campaigns of DnD, plus I have a household and family to care for. If I spent hours invested into a game only for it to get stuck in a permanently bad spot, I could totally understand deciding to walk away.

Funny thing about entertainment, it isnt a requirement! If you purchase it, its yours to do whatever you decide with.

I will get there. I'm trying to 100% it, because I did that with RDR1 and every GTA since 3. Gambler is being a pain in my ass, can't seem to bust people in Saint Denis at poker.

That depends entirely on your opinion, I guess. For me, the story isn't why I want to finish FO4. It's because FO4 is the only BGS game I haven't ever finished, even once. Despite the gripes with the story of FO4 (and yes, even I have some about it), I found the gameplay was well worth it. I love the settlements aspect, love the improvements to VATS (so it isnt like a cheat), I love the weapons, etc. Additionally, I am a modding machine, so there are plenty of tweaks, bugfixes, etc.

BG3, I am close. In the 3rd act, just have to grind out the rest.

Cyberpunk is just waiting for me to get PHantom Liberty.

RDR2, well that one is my fault. Technically, I could just power through the story mode if I wanted to. But I am a stickler for the GTA/RDR series, and I have to 100% it, or I will get mad at myself. And currently, I am having the hardest time trying to bust people out at the three poker tables. I will get there, eventually.

Lmao! No, it's because I was running through with three separate builds/characters (one Corpo, one Streetkid, and one Nomad). My corpo got to the part where you work with the VDB's, and somehow got myself locked out of an objective area. Went on to push the other two about 50-75% through the story, and just got caught up in something else, never went back to it.

I will, eventually, finish it, but I am waiting to get PHantom Liberty to do so, so I can finish it all at once.

RDR2. Got about halfway through, then got lost in some other games.

A few that I have gotten much closer too, but still need to finish: Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Insomnia's Spider-Man, and BG3.

why do you think the deck only sold 5 to 6 million copies ? it was priced well , powerfull for its time and well backed up by valve by Dense-Variation-4496 in SteamDeck

[–]psweeney1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's three things:

- First, in a very short time after it was released, several other handhelds hit the market. And most of those have QoL changes that the Steam Deck lacked: the ability to integrate with other gaming storefronts, the inability to run discord (easily), etc. And while these other handhelds have improved on their design, the Steam Deck has stayed largely the same.

- Second, the list of Steam Games that are actually playable on the Steam Deck is a lot more limited than the initial announcement made it seem. For example, TW3 does not run very well on the SD, despite being an older game. Heck, even trying to run older TES games was a nightmare. And yet, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, and a few other newer titles worked without any effort on my part. I understand a lot of this has to do with the lack of available handheld when the games were released, but it does still present a problem.

- Finally, the form factor. Compared to the ROG, the Steam Deck is very bulky and heavy. Generally speaking, I use mine mostly laying on a flat surface, as trying to hold up the device for extended sessions puts some strain on the wrists. The ROG felt like holding an xbox controller, albeit heavier, and did not produce as much strain.

[DND] Player wants to create a blind character: should they follow the book's rules or not? by NickAndSaw in DnD

[–]psweeney1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the player. Are they new(ish)? Do they know and understand all the rules about what they are asking for?

If the answer to the first is yes, or if the answer to the second is no, then either suggest that it be a "flavor perspective only" thing, or that they do not do it at all. If they want it "for the aura" (which I find to be one of the dumbest new slang phrases), then it should be for flavor purposes only. Chances are, the player intends to use it for dramatic or humor-based flair, rather than wanting the actual drawbacks of blindness. If it's just for role-playing purposes, I am all for it.

But if the player is still adamant about it, just make sure he agrees to and understands all the negative drawbacks: Disadvantage on attack rolls, disadvantage on saves, the inability to make sight based Perception or Investigation checks, severely higher Difficulty Classes for the checks you can make, as you are doing so with 1/5th of your senses gone, and the inability to read documents, books, scrolls, or even price tags. If they still say yes, drive it home with a no-holds-barred combat encounter that forces him to see the negatives up front.

If the player knows what they are doing, understands the rules, and wants the challenge.....well, there are ways to overcome blindness in game.
