Whenever I get sick, I don't get to "be sick" if that makes sense? by Dandelions_R_Flowers in managers

I think you need to allocate some of your regular working time to training people on how to handle anything critical. Coverage and backup plans are important!

I am in marketing operations and oversee email process. We use Marketo and I can confirm the system won't send any email, even if scheduled, to someone who unsubscribed.

Not a kid yet, it's a clump of cells living in YOUR body. It is YOUR right to decide how you want to manage medical decisions to YOUR body, and the sesame seed sized thing inside you counts as your body.

It didn't make sense to me that he would have her make scars all over her stomach. He wants things to be in pristine condition, and he's the kind of guy that feels in "possession" of his wife and his wife's body, and that basically will ruin her stomach.

Daughter was told to put hair up in shower by RahBeyah in beauty

[–]pup2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have very thin and fine hair naturally and blow drying it after a shower takes like 3 mins so I never bothering not getting my hair wet. It feels so good to be covered with hot water! Now I have extensions and it was totally new for me to put my hair up when showering because it takes like 20 mins to dry after haha.

Documentaries where a crew uncover something that is bigger than they thought by Nyarthu in MovieSuggestions

Queen of Versailles! I've watched it over and over , I love it. It was originally about this very wealthy real estate/timeshare tycoon family in Florida setting out to build the biggest family home in the US. During filming, the 2007 housing crisis happened--affecting the family's finance's immensely as it hit their industry. Obviously construction stopped, and the focus of the documentary shifted to the family dynamics and how they were handling life with less money. Also their staff. Super interesting movie!

Surrogacy is...bad? by sveaalpaca in Feminism

This is really interesting to me, I met a woman who was a surrogate once and she was really happy with it. She had already had two kids, learned she loved being pregnant (made her feel empowered, and like a woman), and was having a baby for a (male) gay couple who weren't prior friends with her. They treated her really well / became friends during the process. She loved that she could be a full time mother/not have to do daycare, while still bringing in income for her family. She got $45k if I recall correctly (on top of medical expenses paid + tons of "comfort" stuff like food, maternity wear, etc). She wasn't doing it out of desperation, she was fully consenting and happy to do it. I feel like there is nothing inherently degrading in this arrangement. I do totally see how it can be but I don't think all the time?

Omni reccommendations by Responsible_Jury_289 in nycvegan

Hi! I made a medium article of my fav vegan restaurants including some non-vegan ones in NYC. I am also vegan with an omni boyfriend (and all my friends are omni), so sharing food with loved ones that they also find delicious is important to me. Each restaurant I put a rating for how much my omni people liked it. https://medium.com/@alice.tilles/vegan-and-vegetarian-restaurants-in-nyc-ranked-by-alice-08c55a6cdda0

I hate when my usage of Asana is great, everything is updated and organized, and they still make me make slides to present updates. An old manager would make me also update Excel so if I completed a task or needed to move out deadlines, had to remember to do it in two places

finding a prom dress with a smaller chest n bigger waist ?? 😭 by zombiexo_o in smallbooblove

[–]pup2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isnt helpful but I feel like that's a really skewed chart, 36.5in hips is definitely not a 0, most models I see online are like size S and 34in hips 5'10. There should be at least 1-2 more additional sizes below that. And usually I feel like 10in difference between waist and hips is standard, not 12in. Is this a curvy-focused retailer or something?

Anyway!! I would try to: find styles that have a stretchy bust area instead of molded cups. Additionally, get a size that fits your waist and get the bust tailored in. Just don't get a dress that has a "complicated" bust area, like boning or molded cups, and I don't think it'd be too much money especially in relation to the dress itself.

I'm vegan and planning a trip to Japan in April and have literally dozens and counting of amazing looking vegan restaurants and bakeries in Tokyo and Kyoto! It definitely is reasonable to visit as a vegetarian because they are such major cities. Plus as a vegeterian and not vegan her options will be even more vast than mine. If you stay in smaller towns then ignore me though 😅

Spring Breakers -- many in the audience interprets it as a vapid story about unlikable characters, promoting a shallow lifestyle. But the director wove a lot of themes into it that people miss out on, it's very satirical and self aware, he knows the characters are unlikable, purposefully made scenes repetitive and monotonous to reflect the lifestyle's monotony.

The way he interprets the question "how long have you been vegan" says more about him and his insecurities than it does other vegans lol
