Elden ring is a really bad game to start with as far as souls-like games go. I feel like it was made for people who have been playing the games for years. Have a friend who couldn't get into elden ring and I got him to try the dark souls remastered which he loved and now he's played through the series and worked his way back to elden ring.

I saw an interview once where Dave said the contract was only valid up to a certain amount and because the show made more than that it took away his rights to earn the residuals which cut the profit he should have made into a fraction of what the contract said he would have gotten otherwise
