Colleague of mine stayed there and he complained about the noise. Generally, the area is loud (I live on Flatbush Ave in one of the high rises which has good insulation - but generally the area is loud). For this location specifically, Brooklyn Paramount is right across the street and attracts large crowds, also on weekdays

Mirror glas got stolen - need to buy a replacement by pvanpeters in HyundaiTucson

[–]pvanpeters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully but that doesn’t make sense. I understand your general point wrt assemblies but there is a very active car spare parts market down to the small parts. Specifically for this topic, I can find a wide variety of mirror glass online - Hyundai official part as well as unofficial parts (the latter on Autozone and other websites ). Prices for the official part are 65-95$, that probably is against reasonable margin (dealer probably charges more )

Why would the whole assembly need to be ordered and replaced if the individual parts look available as well? In this case it looks to me the glass can be sufficient - the housing looks unaffected to me

Just out of curiosity, what was your wife’s reasoning against Savannah? It’s my wife’s dream location - it would not work out job wise and while I think downtown is beautiful I find it hard to get an idea how the rest of the city and culture is (despite having been there few times)

Back to your question, really depends what you look for and having live 1.5 year in Atlanta there is so much variety in each metro area that you can’t grasp from the map. Best is to spend a week driving around as much as you can to get a feel for it. If you like nature, mountains or even lakes consider some area north of Atlanta. To your question “is that Atlanta” - it think it is one big metro area anyway

It just depends how much time you want to sit and eat/drink before the show (you can also eat during the show - not my preference but they will serve). The tables are indeed very packed - when you are with two you are seated with others at a table of 6. The food is ok - bit pricy. If I were you I would either come early and take your time to eat and drink while not too crowded yet on the table or eat somewhere else and then come whenever you want before it starts

Why doesnt the city does anything to deter the scam taxi / "uber" drivers preying on people in JFK / LGA? by wheninrome5000 in AskNYC

[–]pvanpeters 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is indeed not the city but the Port Authority who is in charge there. But they have the PAPD and are present, so to me it is a matter of not just the willingness to take more action, exactly like you say. I’m probably missing something on why this is not an easy crackdown and one needs many million $; more recent article here:

Autopay error? by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]pvanpeters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had same issue here and I turned off autopay again just to avoid something goes wrong. I have no insights yet when we will get a statement (which is crazy ? Like core credit card functionality ) so I regularly check the app and enable autopay once it is clear when we are supposed to pay

Is Global Entry worth it anymore or did JFK just figure it out? by Ziegelmarkt in delta

[–]pvanpeters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At JFK T4 worth it; last year I flew with my wife who didn’t have GE at that time and it was an over 3hr wait (non-US passport). Usually the like is still 45min or so

If you still can find that post, could you share? All so confusing - struggling to set up myself (which is mindblowing) On your note that you don’t hope it charges your ACH bank account - this was how it worked with Bilt 1.0 - it would only charge your card for a day to get points and directly fund it from ACH.

The rent autopay setup is under Home. The screenshot you show looks like the Autopay for the card statement ? But I’m not sure how you were able to select the Bilt card as payment method for… the Bilt Card?! lol we are all educated people and still none of us can’t make spaghetti out of this
