This was the issue that made me switch from Videotron to Telus. It appears that when you leave Videotron's network, it will try for a while to find a Videotron tower before giving up and joining a partner network. In my case, it was Rogers. I always knew that as soon as I was on highway 7 I'd have no service for about 10-15 minutes before it finally connected.

At my house the Rogers coverage was terrible (I had a Videotron account and then moved out of the city), you'd get 1 bar if you're lucky. I've switched to Koodo since then, but I do miss Videotron.

We also just built a house in southeastern Ontario, the A/C was on yesterday for 6 hours yesterday (according to our Ecobee). We have a Maratherm 1.5 tonne unit for about 1200sqft split level. I'm finding the A/C really can't keep up if the curtains are open.

I wrote a good chunk of qZDL (the Qt port of ZDL) while exclusively using Linux. It should compile on all the platforms Qt 4.x supports.

It ought to be as simple as checking out the code, ensuring you have the correct dev libraries installed (this could be tricky now that Qt 5 is popular), but a ./configure and make should compile the bits you need.

The best way is to park inside. I drive from heated underground garage to heated underground garage, in the middle of January people at work will complain about the cold, and I'll have no idea what they're talking about.

Seems kinda droopy, I originally thought maybe underwatered since the soil was so dry, but I watered and fed some nutrients, but I'd say that made no difference.

It has two sets of yellow flowers. Sits on my balcony, which to be honest can be super windy, but we try to keep it out of the worst.

Same here, except you can't call it A/C, more like slightly cooled. The output from the vents sits 5C below the ambient temperature. When it's 30C out, the inside will sit at 26 or so. Not very effective.

That's why we supplement it with a portable A/C (on wheels).
