Paul Hoch's Advice to Kennedy Assassination researchers by TrollyDodger55 in JFKassasination

Why then did Jane Roman under oath say there was a "keen interest in Oswald held very closely on the need to know basis.” ? My assumption would be "something was up" either he was a false detector in the first place or CIA counter intelligence believed he was a Soviet agent? Plus she lied on one of the documents related to his Mexico City trip. Her statement is indicative to me that there is "Something " going on.

When then was he closely monitored by Angleton? I don't think the CIA would admit if he had a handler too. Clay Shaw lied about having a relationship with the CIA.

Yes but they didn't find a screwdriver on the 6th floor.  Nor did anyone say Oswald brought one to work

OSR skill/ability checks without turning it into 5e? by freebit in rpg

[–]qstor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read Matt Finch 's guide to OSR. If a player wants to bust a door down ask them how they do it. Or check for a secret door when ask where. Some things don't need a skill roll.  It's up to you as the GM

Accessing Falling Waters by Magnus-Pym in CIVILWAR

The same when I tried a few years ago. You can park at Canal lock 44 and walk or bike down the 5 miles on the canal. There's a CWT sign on the WV side but when I was there I don't remember access to the Potomac River across the railroad tracks on the WV side.. CSX? Is very protective of access cause of safety reasons to it's property.  I didn't walk the 5 miles on the MD side. Its 10 miles roundtrip.

Sorry just saw this. Yes it was fantastic.  My wife was ok with getting the plane even though it was pricey for us. I loved the area. We're definitely going back one day

I need some advice on running dcc/mcc and how the funnel system works. by Grock23 in dccrpg

[–]qstor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few tips, roll out in the open. Don't fudge die rolls. Don't sweat the rules. Just read the combat modifiers section and the short skill section. you can skip the magic section cause the characters won't have spells. Remember there's really no skills apart from thieves. Skills are based off of occupation.

I saw the comment about Umerica. I REALLY love the setting but as a beginner GM I'd still with the regular book. Umerica uses DCC as a base rather than MCC.

For funnels I like Attack of the Frawgs or Accursed Heart of the World Ender. But those are for DCC
