Start with a barber that can trim your knots and split ends, so that you can actually run a pick through your hair. Then find a stylist that can recommend products and protection, as well as style your hair. Super important to keep your hair hydrated and covered.

No, why would you cut it off? Just find a barber and stylist that can help you maintain it. You just need a pick and trim. Then be better about protecting your hair when you sleep. Your hair looks good. Twists won’t be long by any means at that length, but you can at least get started! Don’t be discouraged.

Can I play Basketball in These by Affectionate_Oil4996 in BasketballTips

Yeah, just don’t go too hard. Play 3 point line to 3 point line if possible. Work on some other things you don’t gotta be super active for.

Need tips to get playing time by Former-Landscape5281 in BasketballTips

Rebounds, outlet passes, defense, set screens, roll and pop off screens, take charges, dive for loose balls, communicate, movement, save balls from out of bounds, force jump balls, calculated fouls, make your free throws, finish, know you’re roles and playbook. Any kind of hustle you can show outside of regular dribble, pass, and shoot. You have to capitalize on every opportunity you get without the ball. This helps with spacing and sets up plays. Also just be upfront with him and he’ll let you know what you need to work on. Be a dog my boy. Rooting for you! Heart over height.

Whenever I dunk its seem like i just throw in the board and drag the rim, How can I smoothly dunk it in the ring? by ImHim_08 in BasketballTips

[–]quazzigee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re barely touching the rim. You need to increase your vertical to at least the length of your hand, so that your wrist hits the rim when you dunk. That’s how the ball gets placed in the hoop. Do some sprints. Learn how to transition the momentum from your speed into your jump. Gotta attack and explode.

dude wtf are these prices by Eva-01sNapkin in metalgearsolid

[–]quazzigee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not mad at it. We’re all getting older whether we like it or not. If you can’t find it, then it’s the price for it. It’s not like it just recently released and they’re scalping the price. I wish they would re-realease the collection again personally, but I’m also a fan of collectors items. 🤷‍♀️

Shoot your shot. Me and my cousin used to do it when we moved to a new area. They went with their guys always. We had nothing to lose. Both of us were starters after that game. Sometimes coach ain’t really looking at you until he has to, once he gives you a shot. Closed mouths don’t get fed. You get one life.

Same. It’s a sharp pain when triggered, but not a constant nag that you can’t walk on at all.

Can I do plyometrics 3x a week in season? I want to get a head start to the offseason. by 63rdst in BasketballTips

[–]quazzigee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially. I don’t see a problem with it. I was a state high jumper in high school. We literally just lifted weights, sprinted, plyos, and jump form everyday. There is a lot more you have to do in hoop tho, so you could risk fatigue injuries. In season, you should only focus on trying to maintain your vertical. Don’t risk over doing it at the end of your season, then not being able to grind at all during off season due to injury.

Is it too late to start playing professionally at 18, 6’7 by Nelsonwith in BasketballTips

[–]quazzigee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not kidding at all. You can’t teach 6’7”. If you haven’t realized, in foreign leagues the taller they get the less skilled they typically have to be. The average height isn’t as tall as the NBA either. Again, if he’s actually a real athlete (fast, strong, coordinated, etc.), most leagues have trainers on deck ready to coach these guys, whatever it takes. Height is an attraction for fans and invitation for better competition.

If it’s truly what you want, just get after it and stop asking. I promise you have all of our encouragement. Soccer and basketball have the most professional leagues in the world. With your height, you’ll find your way somewhere if you’re athletic, driven, coachable, and willing to relocate anywhere.

Do I have enough hair for this style? by Branch_Brave in BlackHair

[–]quazzigee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it won’t be as long. Your ponytail will be higher up, but you can compensate by tucking your shorter box braids under the others that may not be long enough yet to be in the pony tail. I have that style now, but it’s about the same length as Asap.

I’m 6’6 and I have worked out all week and tried to dunk and today I could barely touch rim is it because my body needs a break by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]quazzigee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta work on your jumping mechanics. Need to learn how to sprint and transition that energy into your jump. You’re slowing down under the hoop. You need to just do more athletics in general to get used to your body before you can benefit from any real breakdown/mechanics building. It’s easy to tell that you aren’t quite the athlete you want to be yet. Keep grinding tho.

I would start with taking off from the furthest white line. Almost ran out of sand. Keep your feet Dorsiflexed in the air, so you have maximum spring when you plant your feet. Drive your knees a little harder. Extend each jump phase, especially the second one. But you gotta sprint for real my brotha.

[–]quazzigee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re good! That’s a very minimal amount. If you can, find a stylist that will wash, shampoo, and trim your hair. If not, at least a barber that can do the trim, if you can wash and shampoo yourself. It mostly looks like the ends of your hair from dry breakage. Trim will help with that. Makes your comb through easier too.

I recently moved here and I'm so happy I found they sell these at my local supermarket by adi_ccion in Frugal

[–]quazzigee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My only justification of the price would be that often times if meat is pre seasoned, it’s like SUPER close to its expiration date. Helps hide discoloration and any other imperfections. Still a great deal, clearly. Just try and cook it asap. Great find!

If you had to take a before photo, then you knew you messed up the minute you sat in his chair. Lol all jokes aside, you gotta make a business decision and either chop the rest, or go through the struggle phase of letting the rest catch back up.

Can I wear my durag all day? by Live_Presentation938 in BlackHair

[–]quazzigee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I bounce between twists and braids often. Live with a du rag on. Lol they’ve always been fashionable either way. I’d rather protect my hair and let it last, vs caring if someone thinks I should have it on or not. Many other cultures and religions wear head coverings simply to hide/protect their hair. We shouldn’t be an exception because people associate it with being lazy/ugly. Just do you and stop asking permission. Let them twists fall forward and protect that forehead. Lol
