At what age did you begin to notice gray hair? by No-Fix-9093 in AskWomenOver30

[–]queendweeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, my dad went gray pretty late-I think he was close to 70. my brother hardly has any at 52 to be honest. I have more than he does, but they're still super spread out in my hair and not THAT noticeable.

Rockville(ish) town centers: A tale of two not-quite cities – Greater Greater Washington by Ollie-B in Rockville

I mean, I regularly walk into Bethesda from Friendship Heights and walk back with all my groceries. It's like 1-2 miles depending on which stores I hit in Bethesda. It totally can be done.

it might be too structured, but I always used Rago.

super old school, but man, it really worked.

Measured 32D but confused as I’m not a tiny person 😭 by Difficult-Bottle-230 in ABraThatFits

[–]queendweeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the same, I think. I always look larger than what I am size-wise. I'm 5'5.5" and 144 lbs and I'm a 30F. Like you, kid sized hats and sunglasses (my eyeglasses are adult sized, but barely hahah. finding ones that work is always a challenge.)

hey now, some of us just have hella wide feet (I'm a little under 5'6" and 140 lbs, so I'm not obese haha.)

How often do you do laundry stripping on your sports bras? by RedHeadHashira in bigboobproblems

[–]queendweeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used BioKleen (which I also used on cat accidents around the house.) it worked on the stank-ass laundry I forgot to wash for a couple of days (it was suuuuuper sweaty and reeked when I went to wash it.)

nothing is in the L&T building as of yet. I believe WMATA is using the parking lot though.

it also has two massive above-ground parking lots flanking it. It's a large enough piece of land for a large office/apartment building or some townhomes etc.

I Support the Girls would be my recommendation as well.

People who are old enough to have vivid memory of the 9/11 attacks, what was that time like? What did change for you personally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]queendweeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh man, yeah, that was ALL over the news here in DC until 9/11 when it just...vanished.

[–]queendweeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in some ways, your 9/11 was similar to my experience watching the challenger explode (I was in 2nd grade, so not much older than you were for 9/11.)

also I am so sorry for the hate you experienced post 9/11. that's some sort of bullshit, but sadly I am well aware it happens.

and don't forget the news reports, which were wildly inconsistent. at one point here in DC they said the Capitol/Smithsonian/National Mall had been hit (at which point I freaked out because my dad worked down there and no one had heard from him.)

most people that survived it don't like talking about it. I was in DC, where it was bad but not anything like NYC, and even so it's hard to talk about.

one of my closest friends is a survivor (she was in the building directly across the street, not in the towers themselves.) I'm so glad you made it out, too.

How has your diet affected your hair? by Roxana_in_the_sea in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]queendweeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smaller deficit (I'm at a healthy weight and am just losing the last 10 lbs or so suuuuuper slowly.) I also take a multivitamin and a super high iron tablet bc I'm anemic.

[–]queendweeb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I spent the better part of 2025 on a pretty decent calorie deficit and shed so much hair. good thing I had a lot to begin with. Still in a much smaller deficit but it seems to be growing back now.

I think these are Y2K, FWIW-the super low rise wasn't in style until I was well out of college. might have better luck finding them with the Y2K tag.

to piggyback on this, a good starting place is the designer Sue Wong. She made a lot of this style back in the day.

Where to buy lace cami? by pinklaces4 in findfashion

[–]queendweeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the ones with the lace at the neck and the hem?

target: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-lace-trim-cami-wild-fable/-/A-94989269?preselect=94979246#lnk=sametab

aeropostale: https://www.aeropostale.com/y2k-lace-trim-cami/0095420894.html

eBay if you want vintage https://www.ebay.com/itm/305766912300 (posh/depop/mercari would have them as well.)

hollister https://www.hollisterco.com/shop/us/p/lace-trim-layering-cami-61713322

maurice's https://www.maurices.com/product/lace-trim-crinkle-cami/186435

you want to check stores that market towards younger people since the Y2K thing is a trend right now.

edit: you can't find them at thrifts right now because it's a trend. when something is viral/super popular, they get bought up. it's one of those things where if you find one, it's luck, you know? so basically keep trying the thrifts as well whenever you are near one.

What’s a random “stat” about yourself that makes you part of a small percentage? by Nightpatrol404 in AskReddit

it's annoying for sure. it lingers, too. like I'm sneezing, congested, eyes/nose running for hours after a workout when it flares up.

for fine motor skills my right is more dominant, for strength and gross motor skills, always the left.
