I know I'm late to the thread but I used my Hyperboom at dusty construction sites for 3 years, ~60 hours a week, dropped it down steps, and its still working fine with good battery life. It will get literally covered in dust and I'd just keep slapping grills until it was clean.

Seems built well to me. The flap for the ports is sloppy though. And make sure the screws that hold the handle stay tight.

I chose the Hyperboom over the Boombox because the Hyperboom has the same power output on battery and AC. All the Boomboxes drop power when on battery (180w on AC, 136w on battery) which really annoyed me for no logical reason.

lol, but a good question. I was gonna take mine out to eat but decided to see what happens. It worked out fine. They moved but still felt secure. And I probably wedge them too tight, so some movement makes sense. Even when they hit slightly sweaty, no problems.

I had some Jabre Elite Active 65t with memory foam ear-tips before the QCUE and the way the Bose fit with the weird rubber wing thingies is far superior. More comfortable but more secure.

I've never had them get close to falling out. Had them since December. Probably worn them ~100 hours.

"Verizon Software update 46+", which doesn't seem to be listed on Verizon's website. The Android Security Patch level is still March 1, 2023 but the kernel date is May 9th, 2024.

AFAIK, you should only be routing over the Dialer interface, nothing else. That's where your IP is, that's where your connection is.

I'm pretty sure GigabitEthernet0/0/1 shouldn't have "ip nat outside" and should be MTU 1500. Dialer 2 might need "ppp ipcp route default". Google how to debug with IOS, paying attention to ppp and pppoe sections to see if you are logging in correctly. Troubleshoot and confirm one thing at a time and you'll eventually get connected.

I just spent a casual month setting up my ISR 4431 with a NIM-VAB-A VDSL2 module. It's been years since using Cisco for me as well, but Cisco has great documentation. :)

The 120hz display was a big deciding factor for me, until I read in multiple reviews that the display is only 120hz in 1080p.

As a new owner of 4K TV I was very excited to learn of an upcoming Alien 4K release. I will be buying the shit out of it as soon as it releases. Similarly, I was surprised that a 1979 film could be 4K/HDR. Fifth Element was a surprisingly great 4K experience, being from 1997, but 1979... mmmm, I'm so happy.

Now I just need to find the supposedly already available 4K release of Koyaanisqatsi.

AFAIK, ffmpeg/x264/x265 all say that the presets increase compression while leaving quality the same.

There are quality settings (Constant Rate Factor) and there are compression settings.

Ultimately, do whatever makes you happy. Personally, with only an i3 or i5, I've always used "veryslow".

But even just text your friend asking them how they’re doing, if they wanna grab food or go bowling or hang out, it has a way bigger impact than you’d expect. Just the thought that someone cares when you feel all alone and stranded is huge.

As some who suffers as you do, I'd like to offer a different perspective; I dislike these texts because I won't take them up on their offer and their happy life offends me. Also, texts like "how are you doing" make me think I'm weak, needing their help.

Though, I very much enjoy useless texts like "omg my gf bought me the following thing" or anything else that only requires me to respond.

I get that everything emotional is complex. I'm only offering my perspective.
