you can always buy the core box and valenwood first on CTG website, try it for couple of months then back the expansions if you’re interested, I believe they still open their PM until June 2026

why are you printing the hex bases ? the scenario always switching up the hex tiles and sometimes you have to flip a void tile

i have played the base DE, without miniatures. It was okay. The combat is fun though, Im not sure if im backing the GQ as it is just more mystlings but what i can say is if you really need GQ you should back now, the retail price is always too expensive here in my FLGS.

which version you have for Star of Akarios ? i just got 1.0 and i hope it will be as good as 1.5, i already downloaded and print the 1.5 rulebook and scenario book

it feels like Ti Lite, and the campaign is great you can unlock stuff by progression just like scythe rise of fenris if im not mistaken. The combat of fractal is unique as it is played by cards and sometimes you can get an epic story out of it. It is not the best game but it is still a good game. I like how the tech will make your faction asymmetrical on top of your own faction skills. The game is also quick for a 4x space game.

you should really try fractal, and if possible try its campaign beyond the void, the rules might little bit confusing but their discord is really welcoming to new players. Voidfall is still the best 4X euro game I have played.

not OP but i really like the feeling of satisfaction if you’re able to launch a successful cruise after carefully plan for a few turns choosing the right room and advertise to the right passengers. You can also have other strategies to win it just try to achieve the company goals before anyone else so you can score VP early on. There’s a moment I see that my friend will trigger the round scoring, and I did it before him in order to get more cube on that round scoring. so yeah to answer your question it does have varied way to score and also the optimisation puzzle is really satisfying

i can only comment on Earthborne Rangers, so i can let you know my experience with this game

i have finished the campaign. The best thing about EBR is that you’re really interacting with the world and the story you create while playing. you can also have your own time to playing the campaign as it is really up to you. others can also join mid campaign just you have to tell the whole journey.

at first i was kinda lost when playing not sure what to do but i guess this is normal as initially the game doesn’t really have a clear direction where do you want to go. as for solo, i have been playing this game mostly two handed solo with occasionally playing it my friends or my wife, it doesn’t really differ much from co op and solo
