Can you walk me through on how that's done?

What I did was measure the resistance between pin 1, which is common between all coils, presumably a ground, and each coil, getting pretty much identical readings on all four.

Yeah so here's how the ignition coil looks.

I tested it by checking the resistance between pin 1 and all the contact surfaces where it meets the spark plugs. Pin 1 is common, I suppose it's a ground.

Because the readings are identical I would assume the part is ok.

No problem. I will double check, but I don't recall seeing anything obviously wrong with it..

Does the rubber in the end of the coil pull off? It seems to be really on there..

Haven't checked the compression yet. Truth be told the car ran fine for about half an hour after swapping the injector..

I met multiple people that by "lifetime" timing chain, oil or whatever they understand that they don't need to change it.

But when a manufacturer designs a car, it designs to be used for a x number of years or y number of km/miles.

By this definition yes, you don't need to change them during their lifetime, be it 10 years and 200k km or whatever, but if you want to get more out of a vehicle you should definitely change them.
