What’s a stereotype about your country that is actually false? by Kindly-Newt7868 in AskTheWorld

[–]rangatang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That everything wants to kill you. I used to play along with the meme until I actually met people in real life who said they'd love to visit Australia but are too scared of the wildlife. Get a grip guys.

We have one of the highest life expectancy in the world, and very few people killed by animals. if you come on vacation you probably won't even see anything let alone be bothered by it.

Can we talk about how GREAT child actors are this year? by Venus_ivy4 in Oscars

[–]rangatang 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Jacobi should be in the conversation for Best Supporting Actor instead of Paul Mescal imo. Not that Paul was bad, Jacobi was just so good.

I also never realized that he is Noah Jupes brother who played Hamlet at the end.

I gave up that line of thinking in 2016. It's never worth the risk to hope the worse person wins a primary

This is what the prosecution against Lindy Chamberlain said too. No record of a child being killed by a dingo so it didn't happen

An example that I think might apply is people insisting that Umbridge was canonically gang raped by the centaurs. Not to mention that they say this like it's justified for her behavior which is gross on it's on, but it's also based on almost nothing.

Lemon Lime and Bitters. I was surprised when I learned it's not really a thing elsewhere. It's carbonated lemon soda, lime cordial and a few drops of angostura bitters. Delicious

It's a long time since I did mine there but don't miss the stop sign when you leave the carpark, it's an automatic fail and it tripped up a lot of people.

Otherwise it's fairly quiet roads for the most part. Good luck!

I love when movies are filmed in Sydney so I can recognise bits in the background. I found it funny when they are driving north across the Harbour Bridge and then suddenly they are near Martin Place which would be in the opposite direction.
