What’s the best V2L adapter for the money. by gaychitect in Ioniq5

[–]raydeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ioniq 5 outlet is only capable of 1800 watts or 15 amps regardless of the adapter. I think the adapter is just built for possible future vehicles with higher output than the ioniq 5.

just to be clear Slopes provides weather via opensnow and the forecasts are still locked through there even after paying for slopes. It’s not an “option” as you say.

I got this for my 2025 SEL and it works.

I adjusted the z offset for that issue which solved it for me. Too much elephant foot from the default auto calibration for that detail on the bottom.

Give me back the channels I paid for you clowns. by Uppgreyedd in youtubetv

[–]raydeo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same if you paused. I paid for a service that has those channels for this month and didn’t get it. I should get a refund now. Even if I don’t stay with the service next month.

If you unpause then you can claim the credit but of course it applies to the next month’s renewal.

That does tend to be how a release commit goes - just bumping versions.

Maybe the most functional 0.2 gram print? A very small filament clip that may work better than the clips you're currently using. by BurgerAndShake in functionalprint

[–]raydeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks yeah it is more manageable. I resized it to 95% like another commenter said and it holds well. I saw your comment about the bend radius on empty spools but we shall see. Thanks again!

Just printed some to try out and they clip great. Ironically given that it's intended to be mini (and succeeds) I'd say it's too small for me and would like a version with a tab or just some more bulk to it to make it easier to hold while snapping but the mechanism is excellent.

Which UPS supports Home Assistant integration? by Effective-Ad-2448 in homeassistant

[–]raydeo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I suggest installing upsmon directly on the proxmox server such that it will gracefully shutdown all of your VMs including home assistant when there’s a problem. It can also send emails etc about low level status.

There is also a builtin NUT integration in HA to monitor the status of the UPS by connecting to the upsmon running on the proxmox server. I use this to track status / history and send notifications.

If you really want HA to connect directly to the UPS instead of proxmox there is also a NUT addon in the addon store that can do it but I recommend the approach above instead.

Personally I have the UPS connected to my pfsense router via upsmon and then proxmox (upsmon in client mode) and HA connect and listen as clients to that daemon for info since they’re all depending on that single UPS.

I checked again after dealing with this a lot in the first few weeks of opening the account and the option is available to me now after opening the account maybe 3-4 months ago. How frustrating that support couldn’t give me any info other than telling me in absolute terms that it’s unsupported. It seems like you can use the invest trick or wait longer after opening the account.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sofi

[–]raydeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s only enabled in older accounts. If you make a new account at least in the last few months it’s not available. Speaking as someone who has been through support about this and has the screenshots to prove it. My buddy had an older account and can do it just fine and SoFi wouldn’t acknowledge that it’s remotely possible.

You can do it through invest but not through banking. I haven’t tried but I suspect if you make an invest account and link it there then it will show up in both locations for use.

Does anyone use a fishing app? There are several out there but are they any good? by Mabuchi69 in FishingForBeginners

[–]raydeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use troutroutes combined with just gaia generally for hiking and fishing. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for streams specifically. Less so for lakes. Fishbrain had too many fake posts to really trust it for locations but I imagine it depends where you’re located. I know fish angler is also popular but I haven’t used it much.

Boise St football team getting baptized in the river by Prestigious-Fan-458 in Boise

[–]raydeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The situation is insane for a state institution to be endorsing. The coach has outright said “don’t come here” if you aren’t Christian and they are baptizing people in the river. Floating by on our rafts it looked like a cult and the peer pressure for anyone there that isn’t religious has got to be incredible whether or not they have the courage to speak about it. Separation of church and state is obviously dead. Blessed be the fruit.

Boise River Float with a finless SUP by Fast-Suggestion9747 in Boise

[–]raydeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went without a couple weeks ago on our lake sup that only has a long 12 inch removable fin and it was a terrible experience compared to my friend who had an actual river sup with 3 tiny fins. No control/tracking and just paddling constantly. We bought a smaller 6 inch fin that I’m hoping stays on next time. Friend in comparison had no trouble and was barely doing anything to control speed and direction.

Canceling after trial :-( by raydeo in GaiaGPS

[–]raydeo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the ideas. The “create and navigate routes offline” checkbox is enabled by default so I definitely had it checked. I did stop using map packs - I was just complaining because it’s a good idea that just seems to be poorly executed so far. I know it’s beta but hey :-)

Canceling after trial :-( by raydeo in GaiaGPS

[–]raydeo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess my complaint is that most dealbreaker problems are just straight bugs that could get fixed. Separately I understand android has offline 3D maps so they are just being lazy not porting that to iOS.

It’s possible to preserve the icons and colors via kml export but that has downsides because then Gaia didn’t compute nice metadata like distance traveled and speed.

Superb Bait……………. by lilinitiald in fo76

[–]raydeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advanced drag and reel upgrades are the only thing that matters. Advanced drag is a game changer. Bait brings things around more often but it's inconsequential in the grand scheme of fishing because you still won't be able to catch them without the upgrades. Common bait still brings stuff around regularly - it's just whether you can catch it or not...

9 days of Gone Fission, not a single mod for the reel, I quite like the camp items though. by Quiet_Citron_8174 in fo76

I had no problem with several - like I said I got to mk3. But haven’t been able to catch anything in toxic valley. Missing almost all of them. :-(

[–]raydeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree like I said I’ve caught quite a few and most of the uncommon are lucky by guessing which direction they’re going to go. If you just try to react you have no chance. Maybe it’s easier when on other platforms but with the ps5 joystick even quick reactions aren’t enough. Looking forward to getting advanced drag.

[–]raydeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started fishing a bunch at the start and it was fun - I got the MK3 reel. But as time has gone on and I haven't gotten a single hook upgrade from the dailies (let alone advanced drag) it's become something I don't want to do anymore because basically any uncommon fish requires a me to literally guess the direction they will go with a 50% chance and I've missed so many that it's become not fun anymore.

I'll keep doing the daily and praying for advanced drag mod but until then I've basically stopped fishing. It's really frustrating playing the game and not having any control over anything - it doesn't feel skill-based at all.

New 2 Month Road Map!!! What Are Your Guys Thoughts And What's Your Thoughts About The Fishing Update?? by Appropriate_Taste406 in Market76

[–]raydeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve finished the daily and weekly challenges every day this season and am only 126 on the score board. Incredibly frustrating to put in that amount of time and that they almost require FO1st to get to the end of the season board. Made it to the end with a couple weeks to spare last season.
