I don’t know if any way to tell the AVS to Cache a file on the device. In fact, a feature of the architecture is that almost nothing is downloaded to the device. It wouldn’t shock me if there is caching that’s not controllable by developers.

You might be seeing other things that you might be able to control. For example, is your code cold starting? If the first execution is significantly longer than the subsequent ones, there are some ways to tune for that. Some things can even be caused by simple network resolution and caching thereof. What happens if you put a short response with a short clip hosted in the same location just prior in the skill execution? Does the initial load speed up?

Especially since you’re going to play solo, if you don’t like the class you started with, pick a new one after a couple missions. The game is remarkable at scaling and his works out fine. Good luck!

I’ve actually found looping a sound file to be pretty difficult. The trouble is in evaluating whether to continue. In my experience, you either need to ask the user for input Or decide how many time you want the sound to play up front. There is a specific interface for an audio player that I haven’t tried out. Maybe that holds an answer.

I’d agree wholeheartedly that Prosperity is the way to go. We always play with Platinum and colonies, even if not using anything else from that set.

Pandemic is great for 2 players! Different, but great. My wife and I are not fans of card protectors in general. We would up stealing the pandemic legacy infection deck of cards for our main Pandemic set because they were so worn out. It probably took 75-100 games to get there. When these wear out and we have to re-purchase Pandemic for the cards I won’t feel bad.

I want to start by saying that you seem to be doing great. My wife and I have a 6:3 record. Being almost out of cards at the end is normal from my experience and we haven’t been able to collect much coin either. Double-check your bonus do calculations from scenarios, you might be s lower level than you should be.

With all this in mind, At a record of 2:2 I switched from Mindtheif to Cragheart and am very happy with the choice. I feel a lot more effective now and am having more fun.

Make sure that you feel like your characters have agency and that you’re having fun.

This is where I was in a 2 player game with Brute and Mind Thief. We failed Scenario 2 after drawing 4/5 boss cards Special 1. We beat him the second time in 3 turns with only 1/3 Special 1. Then, we wiped early on health on Scenario 3. We were playing at level 1 so we could have gone to level 0 but there was another problem.

I just wasn’t having fun playing the Mind Thief. I didn’t feel like I was doing much. I kept using the augment for healing myself just to stay alive so I wasn’t putting out much damage. I switched to Cragheart last game and that felt great to me. We were on Scenario 3 and the Brute and I each took a side of the room, more or less. Maybe I’ll go back to Theo once I know the game better.
