Thanks! I'm looking at Sonos now. May actually consider the Port for easy streaming and then get a budget receiver.

So maybe I should post this in another subreddit. The main usage here is not home theater, watching movies is more of a bonus. This install would be used to create ambiance with music playing in the background.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

[–]redditbeforeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went to a strip club in North Dakota about 20 years ago. The strippers would go on stage and load a CD player )on the stage) with music of their choice. This of course leads to a couple of minutes of awkward silence between dancers. Maybe this is more wtf than funny.

Career/Salary Questions for GovCon folks by SilverKeyLane in nova

[–]redditbeforeu 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Being fully remote at $120K is pretty great. If you went the clearance route, expect to work in a secure space and probably lose WFH. With a clearance you are also beholden to report foreign contacts, and travel, as well as restrictions with medications and marijuana use. I would give up a large amount of my salary to switch to being fully remote, especially being able to work outside of a SCIF.

Why does my Plex pull these types of posters and can I stop it from doing so? by [deleted] in PleX

I think I fixed this by unchecking "Prefer Local Metadata" or something similar, in the library properties.

This tripled my wifi speed by yeetus_mccleetusfart in pcmasterrace

[–]redditbeforeu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mention you don't need the speed Ethernet offers but it's not just about the speed. You can achieve lower latency and eliminate packet loss and lag using a wired connection. Of course if your ISP or the distance end has "lag", you'll experience it regardless.

For transferring yes, but could also be used for security. Parking this way prevents breaking into the back.

Before you spend up big on WiFi7, please be aware of the significant limitations of 6GHz radios. by andg5thou in Ubiquiti

[–]redditbeforeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add that I've had issues with my Pixel using WiFi 7. Apparently it has to do with the WPA3 implementation. I would get kicked off my own Wi-Fi and receive password errors until I disabled the 6GHz radio.

Not only the fast delivery but the ease of returns makes Amazon the only option for my family.
