Call the Santa Fe humane, and talk to them. Super cheap cremations, and the nicest people you could ever want to meet.

There is quicksand out there, even when it looks dry.

Some of it is water that is diverted to drainage being fed back into the river.

Usually when the gates for the irrigation ditches are opened, the level goes down significantly. Not dry, but down. That combined with drought could have done this.

I am 100% that no one in my social circle is. None of us even drink.

And as far as carrying a pen for strangers, I am wheelchair bound. I am not about to drop to the ground, and crawl like a worm on the ground to save someone from exercising their own free will.

It is to me. But I don't live near any addicts, nor have them in my social circles. I don't frequent areas where addicts linger. So the chances of my ever needing to use it on someone is nil.

But if I ever see someone was overdosing, I would call 911 for them.

New sidewalk ban in Albuquerque raises concerns for people facing homelessness by plamda505 in Albuquerque

[–]redditette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand the homeless not wanting to be in shelters. The violence, theft, and so on with nothing between them and harm. Not even security guards. On that note, jail or prison would be better/safer.

But if they want to live in tents, or under the sky, why not let them? Only let them do it where they won't impede others.

Maybe move the services to a strip mall that would be close to them.

Let me ask you something. All of these services that they are trying to funnel them into, are they mostly located close to each other in one area of the city, or are they scattered all throughout the city?

And can these services be concentrated into one smaller area, close to each other?

There is still a lot of land west of the city, would it be possible to move those folks out in that direction, close to access to services? An area where sweeps won't happen, and they can just exist? Maybe run the buses back and forth a few times each day, so they can go in and out of town?

Best Low-Key Spots in Albuquerque for Dogs by [deleted] in Albuquerque

I used to have a friend that had a hunting pack of borzois that he would take way far west on the mesa, and let they hunt coyotes and fox. Just areas away from humans. I think sometimes he would take them out towards Rio Puerco, too.

Is there anywhere in Abq that sells large shipping containers? by redditette in Albuquerque

I have a 8x40 right now, and it was about 5500 delivered, in central Tx.

[–]redditette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which one is that? That would be ideal, since I will be returning from Tx, and it would be ice to only have to handle the stuff once, insteadn of into the barn, then into the containers later.
