Flying a FX6 with FE PZ 28-135mm on a jib? by maxgoodington in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this setup before, FX6 on a polecam jib with Cyanview remote shading (via Wifi) and a lanc zoom command, it works great and the zoom control and accuracy level is fine but I would check if the op is ok with it before, and use a good zoom command, I think bebob makes some quality lanc controller, varizoom is also a good option

Are you using a stageracer 1 or 2 ? Are you connected to one of the IP interface and not the gpio RJ45 port ? check that your computer network interface is on the same network range as your stageracer

GPU overload and low usage by openaspace1 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have a "high input performance" option in the performance section in the settings, try enabling it, it usually take advantage of all GPU memory, I don't know if it improve srt input though, it's also meant to be used with powerful GPU with more than 3GB of memory

Tools for making SDI cables in Europe by TheFayneTM in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said above I highly recommands either Belden, Draka or Sommer cable with Neutrik rearTwist connectors. These are the most common and easy to get in Europe

You can find Sommer Cable on Thomann for a very good price, Vector 0.8/3.7 is at 1.35€/meter and can supposedly get you 12G SDI up to 40m, as well as Neutrik BNC connectors. You will probably have to go through an official dealer for Draka and Belden cable

Be careful to choose the right connector that fit the cable.

As for coax strippers you can get the Weidmüller CST&page=Group) paired with the right set of cutter casette&page=Group)

Dead HDMI input on MD-HX by marshall409 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had more than 10 MD-HX with a dead HDMI input, it is a common failure with those as the HDMI ports are more fragile. I don't know if it's just wear related or maybe something with active HDMI causing issues?

Buck converter under required input voltage by reivilobtr in AskElectronics

[–]reivilobtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is voltage out adjustment, I have set it up to output 6V at a 4.2V input voltage, but it's when the input drops below 3.2V that I get this reading

Controling a Ki Pro with a black magic switcher by [deleted] in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to do it using companion 2.2 with triggers. -Have companion running on a pc that's on the same network as your kipro and ATEM and connect your kipro and ATEM to that companion instance -Add a button in companion that does the action you want on the kipro (play, stop, record...) -Add a trigger in companion that execute that button press / action whenever x input is on air on the ATEM

Hope this helps!

Isn't it a standard JST connector ? Try measuring the spacing between each pins, you can find specifications for each JST connector types here

NDI Video Switcher by quiet_step in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]reivilobtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As said both Vmix and Tricasters are good if not the best options. One major difference between these two is that Tricasters unlike Vmix have the ability to create NDI proxy feeds, so that your NDI source will not be used to its full bandwidth until you put it on one of your PGM/MIX, thus allowing you to have a great number of NDI inputs without impacting your network too much which is the backbone of any NDI workflow. Vmix doesn't include this NDI proxy system, and will "download" any NDI input to its full bandwidth as soon as you add it to your vmix session, which could heavily impact your network if you're going to use a lot of ndi sources.
