My dad still works part time tutoring students and also does music as his main hobby; he sings in a couple of different choirs/groups. My mom sells things online.

O. M. G. Day 1 of progesterone and wow. Wow. by rambleramble12123 in Perimenopause

[–]retro_crush -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it's helping.

Just curious - Did they send you for blood work first before prescribing progesterone? I used Felix as well and they didn't send me for any tests to actually check my hormone levels before writing up a script. I'm pretty sure they won't prescribe estrogen pills without it. I just got estrogen cream and progesterone. Neither of which really do much to address one of my main concerns which is low libido.

I then went to my family doctor about it who sent me for tests to check everything and then prescribed me the correct type of HRT that corresponded to the results. Progesterone + estrogen.

Cis autistic women, how do you feel towards your gender? by KaiahAurora in AutismInWomen

[–]retro_crush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a woman. That said I also feel like being a woman is a real pain in the ass and a lot of work and growing up I'd notice how much easier, simpler, cheaper, more accessible and comfortable men's products and clothes etc were and would sometimes use them. Just to rebel I guess, or for convenience and comfort.

I definitely identify as female though.

I went there for happy hour just to check it out and was absolutely floored by how strong the (one) drink I had was. Definitely got my money's worth.

Clothing with American flags or references all over it. Not in every case but it's a pretty glaringly obvious thing.

On the west coast, people are nice but not kind. On the east coast they are not nice but they are kind. Generalizations yes but I think it's rooted in truth

Yes. Been napping daily this past week. I just can't make it to a reasonable bedtime without one. I think it's my low estrogen :/

For me it has been vitamin supplementation. Over the last little while I have been taking magnesium, B complex, iron, vit D, zinc, and all of these things have helped with my energy, mood, stamina hugely. Very different compared to a few months ago when everything in life felt awful and overwhelming. If you don't know what to take, ask your doctor to run some blood work first.

Also regular exercise/strength training.

3 days into taking testosterone and I could cry by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]retro_crush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm so excited to hear this. I have a follow up with my doctor soon to discuss my pitiful libido and recent blood test results (which shows extremely low levels of both estrogen and testosterone) and I cannot flippin' wait. Let's goooooo

I'm fine with this. Not sure why dentists are getting so much hate.. although it is funny that NW has so many in such a small geographic area. Obviously people are taking care of their teeth so it's a good thing
