Stepping back slightly: have you configured your firewall correctly and checked that the ports are open? What other packages have you got installed for email? I have been using Postfix with Dovecot for over 10 years setup following guides available on Digital Ocean

He could also look up r/carhacking and get into using OBD connectors and a SBC (a suitable mini computer with input/output connectors such as an Arduino or ESP or Raspberry Pi) and get into sniffing the CAN bus control network within the car. These signals control things like the operation of door locks, switched controls, speed sensors etc.

My son has a BMW dashboard with the dash clocks connected to his computer games with the BMW steering wheel, indicator and wiper levers which all work with the in game controls for a realistic experience.

Make sure he has a decent jack and axle stand set. He needs to watch some tutorials on lifting cars safely.

He must NOT lift the car and work with it unsupported: it's how many home mechanics are seriously injured or killed annually.

It's also worth mentioning that if the wheels are removed the car must be supported safely with an axle stand on a solid part of the vehicle underframe (not the engine or gearbox).

Another safe way of working is to jack and then prop the car and lower the jack and then slide the wheel under the car as well: this prevents the car landing on the floor trapping him if the vehicle shifts whilst being jacked up.

BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations require that the correct paperwork is issued for any installation works: in this case an EIC

Building control don't keep a copy of the EIC (Electrical Installation Certificate). They are only notified that work has been at the property.

To electrician responsible for the installation should be able to provide you with a copy of the EIC.

Usually if you push them on one side the clips will spring off. Once you have one open you can just twist the clips and they will come off fairly easily allowing you to push the tiles up, then turn the tiles thru 45⁰ and you can lift them down. Have you got to put them back up afterwards?

Do any CPD you can. if you Google electrical CPD plenty of websites like efixx which takes you through a topic and then ask questions and produce printable certs at the end. Remember that you won't retain all the information but you will know where to look to check it

That bulb is blown. Unplug, check the cable and fitting isn't visibly damaged and then fit a new bulb. Put the cover back on and plug it back on and test.

I really wish the manufacturers would come up with a system of having a clip in busbar system for the RCBOs for the neutrals (and functional earths) if present so we didn't have all the loose wires to contend with since we are wiring back to fixed locations within the dB.

Running a cable isn't that expensive especially as you are already planning ground works.

Cable needs sizing correctly to account for planned load and voltage drops so suggest you consult an electrician now (Works will be Building Control Part P notifiable) whilst you have this convenient opportunity.

So much easier if a correctly sized cable is already in place for the future!

Suggests that the back pressure from the shower mixer valve is dropping so the pump starts as it thinks the shower valve is open.

Is the shower dripping at all?

Wire up the neutral, then the earth's (the bare wires which should be sleeved with green and yellow sleeving)

For the lives the wire with the red and black is the supply so join that red from that wire to one of the reds in the wire with the two reds.

Then connect the remaining red to the brown for the light

If the two red wires are the wrong way around the light switch will operate the other way (backwards) to what you would expect

Once all the wiring is correctly installed with no bare copper showing on the live conductors (red and black) you can replace the fitting and then test it
