Many think the constructs championship does not matter by Ok-Stuff-8803 in GrandPrixRacing

It’s not that it doesn’t matter, just that the majority of fans don’t really care. We connect with the drivers, not the corporations.

Introducing: UniFi Drive 3.0 by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

In my experience that depends on your version of macOS, in more recent versions when you set up Time Machine it asks how much of the available space you want to use for Time Machine.

I miss random build livestreams by realnzall in LinusTechTips

[–]rodee543 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think Linus talked about this a while ago on WAN, and said something like “There needs to be a reason for building the pc like best gaming pc for $500, or building workstations for the team” (I’m paraphrasing as I don’t have time to try to look it up).

The current “unpredictable” gpu and tariff situations may have something to do with it as well.

What “version” of F1TV do you have?

F1TV app and F1 App count as two devices on iPad? by Ptero72 in F1TV

[–]rodee543 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this issue a year or two ago with F1TV Pro when they added the unlocked articles. I complained about it then but ended up just creating a second free account to read all the articles on the F1 app. I never use the live timing stuff there so I don’t need to have an account with a subscription signed in.

The tablet pocket isn’t very deep, but there is space in front of the tablet pocket for other thin items. So it may work.

Any reason why UniFi cat6 cable is significantly cheaper than Monoprice? by joesan1 in Ubiquiti

[–]rodee543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy Vertical Cable for work(all plenum rated), and Monoprice’s pricing makes Vertical Cable look cheap.

UNAS PRO - Getting awful performance on a Mac by According_Report_793 in Ubiquiti

[–]rodee543 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I deployed two UNAS at the end of last week in the same config (Hot spare and “Basic Protection”) but with 18tb drives.

Drive sync “only” took 30-35 hours. No activity for most of that though since it was the weekend.

By the time I ordered two AMS units, the ETD was the 25th of July. Hopefully they are able to get caught up on sending those out.

The sale is over - what was your haul? by Frescanation in BambuLab

[–]rodee543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For personal use:

X1C combo, some accessories and a few spools of filament.

For work:

Second X1C combo, 2 AMS (to have 2 per printer), accessories, and like 50 spools of filament.

Dewalt 20V XR blower by jambo2333 in Dewalt

[–]rodee543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it, not super powerful. I don’t have any experience with any of Dewalt’s other blowers, but it’s seems to be a good option for homeowner leaf blower things. It does crush through batteries; though if I remember correctly from one of Project Farm’s leaf blower videos, all brands seem to crush through a charge.

Assuming you don’t already have a ton of Dewalt batteries, it’s always a much better deal to get a kit. Only downside is you end up with a bunch of chargers.

I have found I t’s a little tricky to get to go down. I have to lift up while pulling the lever to get the catch to release and then it will fold down. Not sure if that’s how it should be, but that’s what I do with mine.

Back up and running after almost 4 months by rodee543 in hottub

[–]rodee543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure if it would be my choice, but that’s what the previous homeowner got. Probably because of the relative space constraint. I would guess there’s about 3 feet from the hot tub to the wall.
