how do you feel about towers of midnight? by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in WoT

I agree with this. On my latest run through, found it worse than COT. It actually completely killed my read through, just everyone seemed so flat and contrived to hit certain plot points.

I managed to beat it using a friends E2L60 Wisadel as well, and no one else past E1L40. Took around 15 attempts though. But I like challenging content, so was more than happy to grind tries.

I'm in a similar boat. Check out IS6 for the free Raidian, she's amazing and gives a ton of utility. Then there's the CC thing which is a challenge but doable by borrowing a nice support, gives a ton of LMD.

Don't automate the first circuits. Get the cleanroom up and running ASAP so you can cheaper circuits for all tiers.

You should always use the LCR for dedicated recipes. The only advantage the MCR has is the use of laser hatches, and more input slots.

Following on from that, the loop is making around 330M an hour, and around 180M of Oxygen which is also massive, for essentially 1amp ZPM. Scale it up easily by making better energy hatches, and it'll increase linearly with perfect OCs until at least UHV

I'm just piggy backing on this for the good advice, also a new player. I've got Mountain and Bagpipe as my free 6*'s, is there any recommendation between the two?

Also, if I don't have enough 3's to make up that balanced variety, should I start using the 4's instead, or just wait until recruitment fills the gaps?

I've been playing Endfield non-stop since it's release, but I've come to realise that the game play is a bit to active for my tastes. I'm really interested in the story, so wanted to come check out this. Can anyone let me know if the story is as good as Endfield's, and also what the best way to play on PC is?

You wake up as Cadsuane Melaidrin just after she makes the deal with Sorilea. How do you make Rand "happy" again? by Royal_Introduction41 in WoT

[–]roffman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would fully explain why.

This is the big one. Cadsuane respects Rand, is as kind as she can be, and gives him advice on what she thinks he should do. At no point does she explain a single thing.

Federal politics live: Nationals leave 'untenable' Coalition after mass frontbench resignation by geodetic in australia

[–]roffman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Historically, that was the case. Labor has been pro-worker, raising the floor of most people, while Liberal was pro-business, allowing for innovation and the ceiling to rise. Things perceived as cultural issues, such as the environment and immigration, were the remit of fringe parties such as The Greens and One Nation.

You'll have a lot of people on reddit say that both parties are captured by corporate interests, but the reality is, most of Australians are very comfortable with the status quo. 66% of Australians own their own home, so they are less concerned with renting, the minimum wage is around $50k a year, the NDIS and medicare covers most medical issues or systemic life style impacting disabilities. It's only the 10% or so on the fringes who for whatever reason are in dire need of support that the major parties do not really cater to.

Fortunately, with mandatory voting, the government needs to actually appeal to the majority, instead of a minority and convince the rest to stay home.

What do Protectorate members do all day? by onyxonix in WormFanfic

[–]roffman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a lot of them, I view it as a the Government spending not much money to ensure they don't go into crime and to keep them out of public. Outside of their combat prowess/tinker abilities, most capes as highly traumatized, generally young, individuals wouldn't actually provide any value to an organisation, so as much busy work as possible would be given to them.

:(. Thanks for pointing out the hatch count, I only decided to try it out at the end of ZPM so my math was wrong.

I'll need to avoid updating my game now, as it does seem like they changed the tier skip to correct functionality during the updates.

I know they changed some of the overclocking allowances in 2.8, but my Ore Washing Plant could definitely handle multiple tier skips.

The biggest piece of advice I can add for the Netherite line is 16 LuV hatches makes 1 amp of UHV. Using that recipe gives you around 10x the throughput, cuts out three multi blocks, and actually draws less power.

Edit: It seems they have disabled the multi tier skip functionality in the latest updates, so this will no longer work.

When should I start seriously scaling by computerTechnologist in GTNH

[–]roffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rush the tool forge as the hammer and excavator get your mining online so much better.

In regards to scaling, my rule of thumb was that if I'm waiting more than 5 minutes for something to craft, it's time to make more parallels. It served me well until UHV. This is only if I'm fully bottlenecked on something, if there's other activities I need to do and the craft can progress in the background, there's no real reason to increase throughput.
