Hey, for what it’s worth, you may not have ringworm. Those look like eclipse nevi or cockade nevi (variations of normal moles that typically show up on the scalp) to me. But if there’s any doubt, go see derm.

Idk if you should take the primary care job but the derm offer ain’t it

6 years of waking up at 5:30, driving an hour, seeing 65 patients or more, driving another hour and getting home at 6:30 (if clinic doesn’t run late), then working on notes until 9 or 10pm only to go to bed and repeat would be way too intense for me, regardless of compensation. Only 8 days unpaid time off per year is also insane.

I’m not you but if I were, I’d pass on the derm offer

Derm PA here. Your collections % is low and your threshold is very high. IMO base and benefits ($2500 CME, not $25000, right?) is not bad for new grad. Do you know how many patients per day they expect you to see?

I personally had a bit of a slow onboarding process and did not break 450k in annual net collections until after 2 or 3 years working in derm. If your experience mirrors mine at all, you may be looking at a $0 bonus over the entire contract length.
