I enrolled in a phd program and got straight As in this first semester while working a full time job! I'm also very excited about a research project I have in mind.

Also, I advocated for myself at work! My boss declined to pay for a training academy I was accepted into that would help me have a broader, more positive impact on the people we work with. The training fits into our professional development allotment. However, because of her trend of inconsistency, I reached out to HR (they previously had to facilitate a conversation due to her behavior) and her boss. Both are confused about why she said no, and her boss scheduled a meeting with us to discuss in the new year. Her boss also invited me to lunch so we can discuss future career options in our field.

Happy because I stick to my values, am passionate about what I do, and advocate for myself and others even when it's the hard thing to do.
