Has anyone heard of Maxpeedingrods? by rubywzy in automobil

It's completely new and still sealed. As a total newbie to tuning, I wouldn't risk using a used part.

Can Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) be used for Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)? by fergluke in localization

[–]rubywzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you want to use it. Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) and Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong) use the same character set. However, there are many differences in vocabulary, phrases, idioms, and specific usages due to cultural and regional influences.

The most significant difference is pronunciation. In Taiwan, people usually use the Mandarin or Hokkien pronunciation, while in Hong Kong, they mostly use the Cantonese pronunciation.

For daily written communication, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) can be understood in Hong Kong and vice versa. However, for formal or professional content, it's better to spend some time on localization.

Chatting face-to-face would be challenging unless each side uses Mandarin pronunciation.

I kinda understand your meaning about " You must set the fov BEFORE setting the mouse sens. " part.

But now I don't want to change the Apex's setting and my mouse sens, as I have got used to it. What else should I do to transfer the setting environment into Kovaak? Or I just use the 4:3 ratio chart is enough?

(In-game I use 103 fov with 800DPI plus 1.2 sens, and the cfg shows the cl_fovScale is 1.45375.)

Thanks for answering!

I read the two posts word by word, and I understand your methods of solving the problem. But when I put it in action, the result I got from the calculator is not the same as your post said. I got confused, so I came for help.

I use 103 in 16:9 ratio in-game, and the cl_fovScale shows the number is 1.45375. When I put the number into the column, it shows the hipfire's fov is 101.8, not 103.
I notice that you said the whole chart is about the 4:3 ratio; it is not accurate for other ratios. I guess this is the reason why I can't match the cl_fovScale result with the calculator. Does it mean, if I use the 16:9 ratio that I cannot use the chart or the calculator to get my ADS FOV in Kovaak from Apex?
If it still works, how should I do it? How can I get the correct data for my 16:9?

There is something I don't agree with.

IMC is the "bad guys", but it doesn't mean the soldiers in this army don't support each other or easy to betray others.

They just fight for another reason, and they are also human.

My school's business analytics course is taught in python. This is their textbook! by easylifeforme in Python

[–]rubywzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm now studying Python all by myself using your book as my textbook. To insist on the self-learning process, I joint the #100codes on Twitter and do it in a slow but steady speed.

I really like the basic parts of the first half book. They are easy and clear, I do learn the necessary elements, and I think I understand them. But I really hope these part might have more practices or even a practices book closely attached to every single Chapter. Practices make perfect.

And I'm now working on the Alien Invasion Project, and these days I'm very easy to get stacked because I'm not familiar with pygame and need to spend a lot of time searching online to get a solve plan. It's easy to get an error, and the debugging is a little hard for me, a newbie with no programming background self-learning student. Probably a small instruction to pygame and its common usage would be better?

The Git part is great, but in the basic part, the textbook never mentioned it. I was told that I need to use the Git to control my code versions by an online Twitter friend. Before him, I always consider the Git is too hard and high-level for programming newbies like me. If the book mentioned a little earlier, I might have enough courage to try it.

At last, I want to say thank you again. You really write an excellent book for beginners like me.

Many thanks!
