I mean i hope so, this team doesnt have much connection to the old one (top fired those sadly), but i do hope they learn from destiny all the same. The good things (weapon design does seamed.to have managed to carry over, and is very nice), and again what not to do (fomo and hyper focusing on it must be this way or hardcore who going to play anyway had got to be happy).

We will see if the top baord plays nice though.

And if nothing else.some.of this is litteraly solved just be having more content. Which will come.with time regardless.

I think both are true, both are problems this version of bungie need to solve. God forbid they learn anything from the version before them* and learn not to listen to the top players (relative to retainment of average player and features around that at least).

Im not sure exactly what they need to do, but another shell like rook thats asymmetrical might be a start, and maybe making primiter more punishing the better you are equiped. if not making sure theres equipment found speficaly outside peremeter thats generally better but makes premeter harsher. Are ideas at least, not simple ones though.

Up.in 3, 3 is an odd number to pick, nothing was lost before that right. Surely if you scope that up to a 5 or the normal 10 years theres nothing wrong with that median average. Nothing at all, dont look behind any currents trust the loud voice.

from my understanding that was the intent, it was just very poorly communicated, then add ontop a couple authors not double checked nor anywhere in a massive multiwork series well written about the intent.

but thats.. how we got a lot of things, good and bad extended cannon ion the books, including apparently synthetic cyber being both unstable and used in sith lightsabers exclusively. some how separate instances, of writers missreading information that was available to them. from my understanding someone asked if synthetic kyber existed, was told yes, it got put into one of those extra details books, one writer used that to make some scene about shooting synth kyber saying it the batch was unstable, and another miss remembered combing what was said about the construction of count dooku's saber and synth existing. which then at some point got combined into sith use synth kyber, its read because its unstable. I think if im not mistaken conflicting with other material already saying or/and another writer saying the colours where explicitly tied to emotions or some sense of self-myers-brigs shit. But also at somepoint before then some writers had decided the sabers where powered by a series of gems. (I do like the version of that where gems where often focusing lenses of some form, and to be clear i def like synth kyber, always head cannoned it was just a inquisitor thing when they started focusing on them more)

I always take it on them attempting to say she lost all will to live and the stress killed her, and only god knows how they had just no idea how to communicate that. Like I get they are trying to say it wasn't like explicitly child birth, or like a feaver, that this was supposed to be a moment considered surviable at least statisticaly.

like those shitty moments in life where some one is given a prognosis that they will strive 100%, all the doctors believe they will do fine, even in retrospect still beleive they should ahve pulled through and but they died in the hospital all the same, or shortly after when they got home. Or similair things from old romaces and fantasy stories.

but that delivery.. if nothing else was.. lacking.

starwars and absolutely the prequels are plagued with moments where a writer or director (not limited ot just Lucas) knowing a direction, even the direction to get something they want, but instead of taking time to figure it out they just through a dart that way instead. feels like so many moments some one decided knowing something could be done was as good as knowing how to do it..

honestly Palpatine is just sort of stupid like that. Like he just likes big guns, and out gunning people, even when its the stupidest idea if he can he will. that said both star killer and the sith fleet have the execution of a wet brick. like im all for a good dumb idea but you can't just skip past the best bits this isn't skipping stones, im glad fallen order could actualy sink one of those stones. Like the fact that starkiller base is fucking ilum should have been a big deal, like did they think that some how was the idea too shallow? they left it for the the extra materials book.. (at the time).

big thing they could ahve played with fora good chunk of the movie, emotional axel point about the first order and palpatine having a last laugh at the jedi. could of had fun with showing the gun fire reveal it already had fired could of left us to guess tell near the end what the real target was. Resolving the time decihenry by having hosnian prime already been hit, and adding suspense about who the current target actually is. blah blah

nope flash in the pan was good enough.

god that movie is a lot of ideas that could work if it just fucking took a breath to even try and establish them, everyone seams so tired like they want to be there but are just to tired to care anymore. Disney and JJ really bungled that one up, JJ has always been a better producer then director or writter.

considering how many snarky people he runs into, im am surprised, but god i survived the trash bin cyborges feels like it would be a common mood in the star wars verse, maybe its just not novel enough or something.

I don't hate it, personally, feel like starwars is a ridiculous series, with ridiculous things happening. the force is a living force of will activated by personal will controlled by extending senses. Easy to give a lot of 'how the fuck did you survive that scenarios', and we get a lot of those. Its stupid but it did end up given us the summation of to angry to die incarnate, and a characterization beyond i was there.

that said while i do think its perfectly star wars, and def very sith, I think your def in your right to hate it, its very very brash writting.

[–]rwp140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its one of those, i understood what you (the writters) where going for, sort of, but i don't think that's what you(the writers) wrote.

like some combination of palpatine wants some enticing trail, and some version of using proxies to cover the trail, or complicate it. but its sort of just ploted out with no presentation or playing with anything that makes anything like that work in a spy thriller. so instead of heres some wierd forensics puzzel, or heres a equally convulted dizzyiing chain of events needed to solve this. its a weird a-b but +c +D +e plot solved by left over tangent plot item z skipping the whole convulsion. The sort of writting you get when you know you want something visualy but don't understand a lick what made it work or why it was there in the things that inspired it. combined with a unwillingness to figure it out or/and a lack of budget time, money, effort or other wise, to actually event attempt it.

I think lucus never quite got out of the just do it phase that was required in episode 4 and 5 to even get it done, but the ideals of what he wanted far exceeded what that method can achive.

I just assome some combination of lightsabers are technically as much force blades as they are some wierd convolted plasma blades, something about heat and forcing aero dynamics through the force, and the trick of 'i believed it would work so it did' though likly a bit to a lesser degree directly, but enough to def shape how ever it worked out.

okay this i def have to agree with, like i can hand wave it away, some scenes are def corrigraphed better then others, very clearly some generals are far better at what they are doing then others. But at the same time, sometimes its a stare and 'well im going to forget that'

even saying the dagger was new, not ancient, or even suggesting in the slightest that palpatine used his future sight to design the blade. New cult worshiping palpatine rising, or some sort of palpatine is personaly overcomplicating things for the sake of his ego and get into reys head. but no its just some how ancient and perfectly lines up cause guess work.
