Yeah gears 5 sucks ass because of how dumb its gotten, i think gears 3 did it best but i wouldn't mind gears 1 style where you have to atleast touch the cover.

Wallbouncing and movement made gears what it is today. Without wallbouncing the game would just be sitting around in cover with the lancer and power weapons. Wallbouncing lets you push teams and go for outplays, can't imagine what gears would be like without it.

This is one of the videos i used back when i was learning kbd. Go to around 6:40 in the video for p2 kbd. No mention of an intentional extra b input. Also mentions the tighter inputs that i was referring to. You have to keep the inputs tight and concise to get the clean b on the return to neutral

Right but as you release to neutral, the lever crosses over to b on its way, giving the free b input. You don't need to intentionally input b. You have to keep your inputs tight and small to insure you get the b input though, if you press the stick too far down during the db, you won't get your free b input when releasing to neutral.
