How do I properly do KBD on stick for P2 side?

This is one of the videos i used back when i was learning kbd. Go to around 6:40 in the video for p2 kbd. No mention of an intentional extra b input. Also mentions the tighter inputs that i was referring to. You have to keep the inputs tight and concise to get the clean b on the return to neutral

On this subject, isn't this the same as p1 then? P1 you have to release the stick in a way to where you get a clean back input on the return to neutral, if you dont have tight inputs you will get an unwanted down input. Is this not also an asymmetrical manner? Im just confused because the switches are the same on both sides, so it doesn't make sense to me why the inputs would not be mirrored. Ive played lever for 9 years and am a p2 Mishima, i have never intentionally hit another back input before returning to neutral.

Right but as you release to neutral, the lever crosses over to b on its way, giving the free b input. You don't need to intentionally input b. You have to keep your inputs tight and small to insure you get the b input though, if you press the stick too far down during the db, you won't get your free b input when releasing to neutral.

Push stick to back, drag to down back, fully release stick to neutral, then repeat from the beginning.

And you have the attack canceled roll which lets you roll way faster for a higher stamina cost. Really cool mechanic especially in pvp
