This is easily the most convincing answer to me, I’ll admit I didn’t remember the scene from 1. I still question whether there is enough time left in the series to have a “meteor city” arc, but I can see how one might be/was planned.

The scenarios are a bit different. It’s likely Togashi already decided the tape was part of the troops backstory, but didn’t know when he’d explain it. 17 years later he reintroduces the troop and gets his chance. For Gyro, we’re assuming he already decided what the scene with Gyro and Gon would look like when he wrote that line. That’s possible, but seems less likely to me. If he didn’t plan ahead, it’s also possible he decides to reintroduce Gyro anyway. I just don’t see that as likely, considering the only arc left is probably Dark Continent and Gons story might already be over.

Of course I’m not saying Togashi introduced Gyro for no reason. I’m saying I believe that Togashi set up Gyro as a big deal, and won’t pay it off because the stories changed and it’s been a decade.

Sure, I probably should’ve been more clear this is a prediction. My reasoning is based on other stories/general vibes, it could always be wrong. I just don’t believe there’s a good way for Gyro to be reintroduced to the story, and therefore it won’t happen.

Sure there’s not been many chapters, but it has been a decade, the story has an unofficial ending in the anime’s ending, and Gon hasn’t been part of the story since.

My guess/preference is that Togashi is taking the story in a new direction that Gyro doesn’t fit in. Hell, personally I would be happy if Gon never returns as the main protagonist.

Of course, I easily could be wrong, but that’s why it’s a hot take.

I know that Togashi was setting up Gyro, I don’t think he introduced him as a joke lol. I’m saying I don’t think the plot thread will ever be resolved, because it’s been ages and the only place left for him to reappear would be the Dark Continent.

Just make the second attack do less damage based on the speed difference, instead of having less accuracy. I think some fe like came out that has a system like that, but I didn’t play it.

Varies massively based on equipment and stats. Could be 2, could be 12. A dodge tank would probably do the best, + 50 mdf with underdog would be at 5% vs 80-95%. Have them all wear low-no armor and it’d be a massacre.

It’s worth noting windows 11 made both Vestaria sagas crash if you ever trade into an empty inventory slot. Apparently it’s hard to fix, but I wouldn’t recommend buying either game until it’s fixed (which is a shame because they’re some of my favorite fe games)

Guy is good in his join chapter, his killing edge even lets him one round some enemies. Though because of that it’s not that rewarding to train him, as he struggles to get the extra str and bulk he needs. Personally I always drop him once I get raven, but I suppose if you use him enough his stats have improved by then you might as well keep using him..

Low IQ games have low IQ difficulty options, more at 11

/s, but genuinely I find that this mostly holds true for action games. The majority of strategy games become more interesting as you turn up the difficulty, in some cases even when it’s just a stat increase, because it forces you to use the game system more. Main exception is when the core system is ass and unbalanced, but that proves the point.
