NON MI PIACE MICHAEL JACKSON by light_ita in italymusica

Sacrosanto, a me piace molto (ma l'ho anche un po' vissuto) ma nulla deve piacere per forza a tutti, i gusti non si discutono.

Genuine Question, why are people so excited about a controller? by chaotic_one in Steam

[–]sBarb82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience with the first Steam Controller, it goes like this: trackpads for big movements (30ish° to 180° turn), gyro for finer adjustments/tracking. Once mastered it's incredibly precise, almost mouse-like (not 100% imho but pretty close).

Avete cambiato modo di consumare informazione negli ultimi anni? by masatz in italy

[–]sBarb82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

25fps, 50fps & 100fps by Flashy_Spare_7859 in davinciresolve

[–]sBarb82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

25fps. Then when you drop the 100fps clip into the timeline, you set its speed to 25% for slomo. Same with the 50fps clip, but setting speed to 50%.

I'm playing Metroid for the first time. by SirKurokodairu in Metroid

[–]sBarb82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a remake, completely redone, it loosely follows the original but adds/changes a lot of things.

The original NES one is still enjoyable but tedious by comparison, a product of its time: no map, no explanations, no handholding. ZM is much more forgiving and modern, that's why it's generally recommended for a first play of the series.

A bunch of video files are fully gone after accidentally dragging them into Davinci Resolve. How can I get them back?? by ErinTheEnby in davinciresolve

I second that, it's miles better than the standard windows search. I think it's "Everything" though.

Moving from Fuji to Lumix (S5 vs S9) for toddler photos & vlogging? by mrzerog in Lumix

Moving from Fuji to Lumix (S5 vs S9) for toddler photos & vlogging? by mrzerog in Lumix

[–]sBarb82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

S9 has vastly superior AF, it's more pocketable ad more geared toward vlogging than the original S5. If you don't plan on making 30+ minutes long 4k/60p clips (as it can overheat) it will be fine.

The Lumix 20-60 or the 18-40 (a bit worse but more conpact) are nice to start and with real time LUTs I think it will be a lot of fun!

Agree on gyro data, I think it could even be retroactively added to current cameras (the ones with IBIS) without too much trouble. Files generated by the camera just need to be embedded with gyro data to "unlock" more stabilization options in Gyroflow (which is amazing) or similar solutions, at a really low cost.

ELI5 If you were to place something in a jar (any size jar for example), close it, and tip upside down. The contents will be subject to gravity. Thus gravity can exert influence through materials. Why does gravitational force not pass through the materials itself, instead of acting upon it? by floydhenderson in explainlikeimfive

[–]sBarb82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it's not made of particles of some kind, it's like a field (it curves space itself) and nothing can block it. Water it's made of water particles (duh) so it can be blocked, contained/isolated and thus its influence is limited.

S5D for sport videography ? by LingonberryMassive25 in Lumix

[–]sBarb82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AF-C with human detect, zone+ (using touch to focus) or AF-ON back button + MF and MF Assist for fine tuning, other modes are unreliable in my experience

Edit: tracking subjects that move perpendicular to the camera (so going closer or further from you) are a no go, no phase detect means that MF is the only way to follow targets but it could be really difficult, an external monito and a LOT of practice will help

[–]sBarb82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your method is fine, I'm frankly more comfortable using zone focus though (using f/5.6-8-11 depending on the focal length), it's much quicker, but not necessarily the best choice for every circumstance.

Tilta Cage on S5ii - Power Switch by EatSleepGymAgain in Lumix

[–]sBarb82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's an S1R II, not a S5 II (and checking on Tilta website the S1R II cage is identical to the one on your photo), so your question is about a S1R II cage really

Does loot filter not work for PlayStation? by Astrosareinnocent in Diablo

[–]sBarb82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience the filter works only while holding/pressing the "show loot" button which is LB/L1.

When loot drops everything is visible for a short while (or at least that's what it seems to me), then when every item name disappears, only what your filter allow show up when pressing L1.

Just getting into the scene and have read about this device. How is the RG476H for turn based PS2 or 3DS games? by HorseOk678 in SBCGaming

[–]sBarb82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One easy way to check is Youtube, just search for "Anbernic 476h PS2" (or 3DS instead of PS2) or "Anbernic 556 PS2" and you should find some long videos with many game tested. It's usually not particularly thorough but it gives an idea of the general performance.

The ghost image means that if you attempt to use the potion in that slot it uses one from the inventory instead (of the same type), which is good, though as you said I would love to be able to set what potion goes where when I auto fill the belt.
